Ou Skip Resort and Chalets

Ou Skip Resort and Chalets is situated in the coastal town of Melkbosstrand, just a one-hour drive from Cape Town International Airport. Guests can choose to camp or stay in one of our fully equipped Chalets.

The resort offers 206 campsites for those with tents and caravans, and 12 self-catering chalets. The park is only 300 m from the beach and is ideal for fishing, swimming, kite- and windsurfing. The resort has a large swimming pool, kids play area, trampolines, a recreation hall and laundry facilities. We also have 24-hour gate security for peace of mind.

Melkbostrand is ideally positioned just a short drive from Cape Town where guests can visit Ratanga Junction with the kids or explore the V&A Waterfront. Day trips are also possible to the Winelands. There are numerous hiking trails in the area including the Dikkop and Graskop hiking trails.

"we stayed here (in a caravan) before and after the Cape Epic mountain bike race. The kids loved the pool and the bathrooms and showers were clean and warm. We loved the ability to do laundry and hear the oven just across the street.<div>It was mighty busy and full of families but a gray place to be.</div>"

"We camped at Ou Skip Resort and had a beautiful camping spot - shady and quiet. We really enjoyed it. I think camping close to the river wouldn't have been nice because it smelt really bad - but thankfully we were issued a camping spot in a different area.<div><br /></div><div>The facilities and pool is great! Worth going.</div>"

"Our stay was splendid and all the facilities are neat and well maintained. Also, it's very peaceful and quiet. Just one thing; we encountered a snake that was laying coiled up under the flat of our tent. Would you please do something about this? Especially summertime. Thanks!"
