• "Poor, unprofessional, worst stay out of our 15 days South Africa visit"

  "- Poor coordination and communication at check-in. The housekeeper Lynette did not know the number of bookings, number of rooms and tried to get away by providing us only two rooms against a booking for 4 rooms.- No air conditioning / heaters in the rooms. On top we were in dark for 4 hours due to load shedding out of our 14 hours stay.- The rooms or facilities are no way close to the pics, description provided. Room doors don't lock from inside . No mixer for water in the bathroom, no bottled water provided, no electric point in the room to charge mobiles- Jill the manager/ owner was very responsive during the booking process, however provided misleading information about the number of rooms & location of the guesthouse.- Jill did not communicate clearly about the payment process and was quite rude in her communication.- Location is quite inconvenient, no restuarant nearby and in an unsafe area. We were told to remove the car wheel caps to avoid theft.- I would not recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful stay, especially for family with kids."

  "Lovely old world charm. Beautiful decor. Clean. Crisp white linen and towels. Charming host. Was just a bit dissapointed that the room was not serviced on the Sunday and no replacement of coffee, tea or loo roll which was a bit of a problem"

  "I stayed as an overnight guest as I was travelling the Garden Route to Cape Town. I did not stay for breakfast but the place was clean, neat and beautiful and the host was very accommodating even though we arrived so late at night. Thank you for your kindness - next time I am in PE, I will definitely stay at your guest house for longer."

  "I stayed at the Fernandoz Guest House for 2 days with my partner and we had a great stay. I arrived first and they came to pick me up from the airport and made things very easy for me because it was my first time visiting in Port Elizabeth. The staff/people were so friendly and helpful, and what I really liked the area because it was so quiet and nearer to the shops and a few minutes to the famous Green Acres. We would like to thank the staff at Fernando's Guest House for making us feel at home and we promise to come back should we visit PE again we also promise to pass the news to our friends.   "Our party of 9 persons were most delighted at both the service and the accommodation that was provided at Fernando's during their stay. The rooms are very spacious and the hosts went out of there way to keep our golfers happy. We will most definitely make use of Fernando's when we visit PE again"

  "The owners were extremely friendly and hospitable but the service was not great. The one day that we had said we would want breakfast, we had to phone from our cell phone to the house in order to ask for somebody to make us breakfast ( there was nobody in the kitchen or breakfast area at all). We were locked out of the house one night as the lock was latched from the inside. There was a fridge in the room but no glasses - even after asking for glasses for water. No kettle or mugs for tea/coffee. There was no ventilation in the bathroom and also not enough soap and toilet paper."

  "I really think the B& B can improve the state of the rooms. The furniture is very old. We woke up with sore backs every morning because the beds are so old, and had to move out before the check out date to look for a more comfortable place. We only had breakfast for 1 morning. Reason being it was just bread and juice.I am aware that it is continental, but really they cannot expect people to eat bread and coffee/fruit juice for breakfast. At least some cereal would do. I have stayed in a lot of places that charge the same amount, and have received at least a 3* treatment.Hope that the owners will take this into consideration.Otherwise they are lovely people, the area is convenient."

  "I found that the staff were friendly and flexible. I booked an overnight stay and was travelling with family that had already arranged their holiday and were booked at a different guest house.I rang Fernandos Guest house to change my accomodation to the following night due to a delay through the garden route. They were most pleasant and happy to change at no cancellation cost.The night security was pleasant and helpful in directing traffic when entering and leaving the premisis as Fernandos is located in the on the main road. I had a pleasant stay."
