Futululu Dreams...

Escape to Futululu Dreams..., a little house nestled in the tranquil indigenous lowland of the coastal Futululu Forest. If you respect nature and need your space, this is for you.

Situated in the Futululu Forest at the southern tip of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, between St. Lucia and Mtubatuba. Futululu Dreams..., is the ideal base from which to explore the town and wetlands of St Lucia, Cape Vidal, Charters Creek, and the Hluhluwe/Imfolozi game reserve.

Futululu is the Zulu word for 'under the trees', fitting for the natural surroundings. Futululu is ideal for unwinding and having a good nights rest after each adventure-filled day. The night air is filled with a symphony of sound emanating from the forest that will peacefully infuse your dreams.

Newly renovated, the house is neat and clean with all the self-catering equipment you might need. Prepare your favourite meals in the open-plan kitchen, equipped with a fridge-freezer, a conventional oven, a gas hob, a microwave oven, a small deep freeze, a dishwasher, basic crockery and cutlery and utensils. A separate small laundry room with top-loader washing machine and tumble-dryer is available.

The open-plan lounge has a TV and DVD player and looks out to the spacious patio with braai facilities, an eight-seater table and two lounge chairs. The house is secured with burglar bars and an alarm and is situated within a fenced eco-estate with contracted security. There is covered parking in a shed, with space for a boat and trailer.

Start your day in a relaxed fashion by enjoying breakfast on the large patio, interrupted only by butterflies gracefully drifting by, prompting an early morning walk or photo safari. Time idly passes by while you hone your birdwatching skills, spot some of the eco-parks resident endangered Red Data species such as the Samango Monkey and Red Duiker, and become one with the bio-diversity that surrounds you

Futululu Dreams... is a great base camp from which to explore this premier eco-tourism destination. Things to do include visiting the Isiphaphalazi Butterfly Dome, snorkelling at Cape Vidal, a game drive at Hluhluwe/iMfolozi game reserve, a buffet lunch at the Hilltop Camp restaurant in the Hluhluwe / iMfolozi game reserve or dinner at one of the many street-side restaurants in St. Lucia. Here one can spot hippos walking around the town of St Lucia after dark or before a sunset booze cruise on the St. Lucia Lake.

All too soon your getaway from city life is over and its time to look forward to your next escape to Futululu Dreams....
