A102 The Atlantic

How close to the ocean do you want to be? A102 The Atlantic is a first floor two-bedroom apartment, located within very close walking distance of Muizenberg Beach and Surfers Corner. Melrose Road is a quiet and protected road that runs parallel to the beachfront, making this address the ideal holiday hideaway.

Other amenities such as supermarkets, a post office, a liquor store, clothing boutiques, book shops, bars, restaurants and pubs are all within very close walking distance. For the more energetic, there are numerous mountain trails and walks in the Muizenberg and Silvermine mountain ranges. Walks through Cecelia Forest and the well-known Elephants Eye trail are not far off either. The colorful fishing harbour of Kalk Bay and the naval base of Simons Town are both within short driving distance or a short scenic train ride from Muizenberg Station. At Zandvlei Lake, there are many boating activities such as yachting, windsurfing and canoeing. Golf courses are within driving distance, with Westlake and Steenberg golf courses being the most notable. Muizenberg is also a stone's throw from the Constantia Wine Route and therefore the ideal base from which to explore this area. Muizenberg is Cape Towns premier surfing beach and the area has an abundance of surf shops and two surf schools.

"It was fantastic. Just what you need as a family. Very secure, clean and private. Everything I needed was on hand. This is so ideal when you are on holiday with your kids. It's within walking distance to the beachfront. This is home away from home!! I would definitely recommend it to families. We intend to come back."

  • "Our stay was great"

    20 April 2010

"The place was perfect for our family of three, two adults and one 12 year old with his own bed/bath.It was clean, quiet, well-decorated and complete with a full kitchen.(We never used the kitchen other than the frig, but it was very inviting and looked new.) The washer & dryer was a true benefit. It was a great location, secure building, with basement parking. The weather did not allow for the pool but it too looked inviting. We walked could walk to various places for breakfast and with easy access to the beach/Surfer's Corner and a few shops.A great location with easy access from one end to the other from Capetown to Cape of Good Hope - equally convenient to both regions. The owners were very helpful and readily available when needed. We had a little trouble with the security gate key, but feel sure owners have resolved the issue since our visit. The guards on the premise were typically available to help us in/out as needed.Would readily recommend if interested in a centrally located place. We had a great time! • "A perfect base for the Cape and beyond"

    01 March 2009

"We were greeted by the owner on our arrival who made us feel very welcome. The accommodation was clean and well presented and the cot we had requested for our 2 year old was set up and ready. The owner was extremely helpful during our stay, helping us with a hire car and suggesting things to do and places to go. He gave us his number and said we could call any time which was very reassuring.Muizenberg is well situated in easy reach of Cape Town, the Cape to the south and the rest of False Bay to the east. It's also a good base for the wine lands with Constantia literally only minutes away and Stellenbosch about 30 minutes away. If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay with a friendly and helpful owner, this more than fits the bill."

"My stay at The Atlantic A102 was so great, I can't even think of a title that would best suit it.My boyfriend and I got stranded in Vrendendal, just as I was thinking of calling the owner, he called me and asked what time did I plan to arrive later that day, I told him about my situation, and he was so understandable. He called later the day when I said I would call him to make sure things were still going okay with us, and have a figured out how am I getting back to Cape Town etc. When I met him to get the key, he gave directions that no one can go wrong with. The place itself was amazing. It was warm and cosy and as soon as you walked in you felt as if you belonged. Like they know what your tastes are and what you would want and need. Thanks so much for letting us stay at your place, even if it was for a few days."
