Thithombo Game Farm

Thithombo Game Farm is a privately owned game farm nestled in the Limpopo Province - South Africas northernmost province. The province is named after the great Limpopo River that flows along its northern border; with its rich wildlife, spectacular scenery and a wealth of historical and cultural treasures.

The Old Homestead can only be booked as a whole unit. It was the original homestead and has now been renovated into a comfortable lodging ideal for groups, families and corporate breakaways. The Old Homestead has four bedrooms; one of the bedrooms has a double bed; three of the bedrooms have twin beds; and there are two single beds in the living room. There is a fully equipped kitchen, an open-plan lounge offering a TV with DStv and a dining room area. There are both indoor and outdoor bathroom facilities.

The Luxury Tented Camp can only be booked as a whole unit and not per individual tent. The camp is uniquely designed to give visitors the experience of staying in the bush while enjoying the little luxuries we know so well. The camp has full electricity and each tent offers comfortable, elegant and neat furnishings. There are four family tents with double beds, twin beds and en en-suite bathrooms; there are three single tents with twin beds and separate outside ablutions; and one bachelor's tent with five single beds and a separate outside ablution. This is an unforgettable shower experience where you can feel at one with nature while enjoying a warm and relaxing shower overlooking a beautiful landscape.

The central facility consists of an open-plan lapa with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, a lounge offering a TV with DStv and a guest bathroom. These facilities are serviced by cleaning personnel daily. There is a beautiful open lapa outside with a bar, a huge fireplace, a braai area equipped with utensils for a wood and gas braai, as well as a swimming pool.

The farm provides habitat to many game species such as impala, kudu, nyala, blesbuck, duiker, brown hyena, jackal, caracal, leopard and an abundance of bird life. The farm is only 10 km from the world-renowned Ramsar Site, NYLSVLEY Conservancy that forms part of South Africa's largest flood plain namely the Nyl River Flood Plain that stretches over 70 km.
