  "They apartment was equipped with everything we could have wanted. The rooms were all so cozy and warm and the beds were very comfortable. Ivan is a lovely guy and great host. Unfortunately we only had one night there, next time we will be sure to stay longer and have a braai overlooking the farms"

  "I hesitate to write this review. If this cottage got all the recognition and clientele it deserves, there would be a two-year waiting list and we might not be able to get in again next year. On the other hand, this review may ensure the survival of the cottage as a business and thus make it possible for us to return next year!<div><br /></div><div>What you get: Space. the rooms are huge, and extremely well furnished in impeccable style. Everything you even think you might need is there, just bring food.</div><div><br /></div><div>Then you look outside and there is the view. I could happily just forget about the rest of the Meander and just sit there and drink in that view. I feel sorry for people who live there. Where can they possibly go for a holiday?<br /><div><br /></div></div><div>The Midlands meander is likely to become an annual event for my family. We see no reason to look further than Notts Cottage for our accommodation.</div>"

  "What a lovely cottage! I was hesitant at first when I saw that the cottage was attached to a house within an estate and not free-standing, but it was not a problem as neighbours were quiet and we felt like we had the privacy we wanted. It was lovely waking up and hearing the cows mooing in the field nearby. The cottage itself was beautiful and modern on the inside with all the appliances and comforts that you would need or want. The heated towel rails were luxurious! I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area."

  "We stayed at Notts Cottage for 2 nights and wished our stay was longer! The cottage has all one could wish for, it is beautifully furnished and has a modern kitchen with dishwasher which was much appreciated after a busy day of sightseeing. The cottage is wonderfully spacious and the bedrooms are not only beautfully decorated but were also super comfortable. We really enjoyed the views from the garden and beautiful sunset over the mountains. Anvil and Ivan were great hosts and thought of so many small details such as tea, coffee and rusks in the kitchen to lovely soaps in the bathroom. They were very helpful with suggestions on what to see and places to eat. We would definitely recommend Notts Cottage and if we are fortunate to visit the Midlands again then that's where we will be staying."

The report back was the experience was amazing and not only did they receive the most friendly arrival but also the most comfortable cottage well decorated with no expense spared. If you want to relax and visit various Midlands Meander venues then it is perfect. Close to Nottingham Road Spar so stocking up on groceries is quick and easy."
