"We spend our Christmas holiday at Hibiscus Coast Self-catering. We were really disappointed by the condition of the property (particularly the flat), especially since we have small children that are crawling & running around. The pool was green, outside braai dirty, a box full of broken glass was standing next to the carport, there is a pile of broken tiles behind the door, the garage is full of fluids, chemicals & other rubbish, some lights were not working, doors were rusted so could not close, there were open loose cables in the flat & at the gate, the gas braai is very rusted, old speakers & other rubbish were standing in the flat and on top of the cupboards, huge cockroaches in the flat etc. A number of the things mentioned on the SafariNow website were also missing / broken the TV in the flat is missing, there is only 1 portable aircon in the main house which was broken (although the detail mentions air conditioned house which creates the impression that the whole house has air conditioning), the decoder / satellite is not working so the TV in the house could also not be used. There is also a person (male tenant) living on the property (between the flat and house) which is not mentioned on the SafariNow website. The house is right next to the main road to Margate which is very busy, so besides the noise it is not safe to walk to the beach from the house.CAM Properties that looks after the property were VERY unhelpful & unprofessional and took responsibility for nothing that was missing / broken and blamed the maid for everything that was dirty / lying around and expected us to take it up with her. On the first day they also did not take us through the house so we ended up without a key to the flat. For a rate of R3500 per day we really expected a higher standard than what we received - a clean house that looks like the pictures on the website with everything detailed on the website inside the house."
