Aloe House

Aloe House is located in Oudtshoorn, amid some of the finest restaurants in the area. Aloe House is ideally situated so guests are able to walk to many of the town's attractions.

Oudtshoorn, the largest town in the Little Karoo, is most well known as the centre of the ostrich farming industry. There are also a number of farms where you could watch an ostrich display, learn all about these amazing birds and go wild buying ostrich feather and leather products. The other major attraction in Oudtshoorn is the Cango Caves, which extend for miles into the extensive limestone hills and exhibit beautiful crystal and flow structures.

Aloe House consists of a main house with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeping a total of eight guests. There is also an additional cottage which sleeps up to four guests in one double bedroom and a twin room. After a day of exploring come home to a sunny comfortable house with crisp white linen or if you need some well-deserved down time, guests can relax next to the pool.

    "Sad to say, rather dissapointed.

The cottage was rather poorly equipped with crockery and not even. A coffee plunger. Just three black tea and three rooibois teabags and tasteless instant coffee.

The outdoor shower was supposed to The something trendy was really just an excuse to avoid adding a shower above the bath.

Generally not impressed.

Won't return"

  • "Not practical for young children"

    17 June 2015

"A lovely old house, well decorated, but not very practical for a young family. The house is on a busy street with all 3 bedrooms facing on to the road so you get traffic noise throughout the night. The write up indicates that there is a TV but there was none in the house. The only place to sit and eat was a table and benches outside on the patio -it was too cold to do that with the kids in winter. The kitchen was not well equiped, the micorwave was sotiny we could not fit the bottle steriliser in it.There were a few small niggles such as the hot water tap in the kitchennot working, the microwave had not been cleanedand no toilet paper at all in the house."

"Loved our stay at your property this past weekend. The amazing homely feeling we experienced was totally unexpected. The kitchen was stocked with items that we did not expect but appreciated the extra mile effort. The peacefulness and tranquility of the garden was totally appreciated as we were looking for a place to just go away relax and unwind! We will definitely be back again soon! Thank you for all your assistance Flippie and Shayle! I will definitely recommend to others!"
