El Dorado Official Accommodation

Modern, spacious, self-catering townhouses with safe off-street parking, braai facilities and fully equipped kitchens. We are approximately 2 km from the town centre and is located near most sporting facilities in Oudtshoorn. We welcome both corporate travellers and holiday-makers.

All our units are situated within the Eldorado Security Complex. Entrance and exit takes place via a remote controlled gate. The property has a Wi-Fi Hotspot at reception and a communal swimming pool for guest use.

Towels and linen provided. Daily cleaning services available.

Oudtshoorn lies below the Swartberg mountain range which is part of the Cape Floral World Heritage Site. The mountain pass offers some spectacular views and is great for a slow cruise. Oudtshoorn is known for its ostriches which generated the town's wealth. Guests can visit farms where they can learn about these animals and even have the chance to ride one. The area has many restaurants serving up Karoo-style meals.

Please note that Eldorado Management will be able to move you to another room/room type if necessary.

"The house was smaller than we expected and could do with some more furniture f.i. some more chairs, a small table in de sitting area and something in the bathroom to put at least your glasses on ... The house seemed new and was very clean. Nice Condominion and good location."

"It is very quite comfortable complex. The only issues that we experienced is as follows:1) There is no parking for your car. 2) No visitors of any sort allowed.3) Construction is ongoing in the complex.4) No noise whats so ever as this will result in you being immediately asked to vacate the premises.The complex has a retirement village ambiance. The staff is very friendly and tries to make you feel at home but the above issues is a damper."

"Pluses: Spacious, secure, good water pressure, nice back yard and Braai. Minuses: single beds, loads of kitchen cupboard space with nothing inside which just somehow seems sad. Could hear the neighbours bonking next door. Starting to look uncared for - loose floor tiles, venetians not running smoothly, dirty windows and dead moths inside. Reception is brisk to the point of unfriendliness. Would still come back"

"Your place is very new thus the smell of newness surrounds the room.However, there were little blood stains in the bathroom and the toilet pot had a yellow line streaming down the front as it was not cleaned properly. There was a spiders web in the toilet window and the floors were not clean either.Oudtshoorn being as humid as it is, I was totally surprised that there was no aircon or fan in the room. The lady at reception didn't seem to have care in the world when I mentioned the fan.Cleanliness is next to Godliness."

"Big house in a condo. Downstairs open plan kitchen-diningroom and sitting room. Upstairs 2 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms. Lovely furniture. Nice pool. Nice garden."
