POST LOCK-DOWN FACILITIES OPENING CLEANING PROCEDURE
Process and procedures at the beginning of the day before we start working:
1. Only 3 cleaning ladies work on any given day.
2. Temperatures are taken before entering the vehicle for transport.
3. Each lady is provided with her own Personal Protection Equipment (PPE: mask, gloves, apron) before
entering any house and after the clean the PPE garments are placed in a plastic bag for disposal at the end of
the day.
4. Each lady is also provided with her own personal hand sanitizer which she carries with her at all time.
PROCEDURES FOLLOWED FOR EACH CLEAN:
HARD SURFACES AND WALLS
1. Clean Surfaces with hot water and disinfectant all-purpose non-abrasive cleaning solution. Surfaces includes
all kitchen taps, tabletops, chairs walls and kitchen appliances (inside and outside).
2. Allow to dry
3. Spray with 70% alcohol-based surface cleaner
4. Exit room
FLOORS, STOEP AREAS AND GARAGES
1. Vacuum / sweep floor to remove all dust and solid waste
2. Mop floors with hot water and disinfectant floor/tile cleaner and allow to dry
3. Wipe down all staircase railings with disinfectant all-purpose solution and soft cloth
4. Allow areas to dry
5. Spray area with 70% alcohol-based aerosol solution
BEDROOMS, LOUNGES AND DINING AREAS
1. Dust room down with microfibre cloth / duster
2. Wipe down all surfaces (table tops, TVs, all remotes, and hard chairs) with hot water, disinfectant allpurpose solution and soft cloth.
3. Allow to dry
4. Mop hard floors with hot water and disinfectant floor/tile cleaner or vacuum carpets and loose rugs
5. Spray area with 70% alcohol-based aerosol solution

BATHROOM AND TOILET FACILITIES
1. Dust area down with microfibre cloth / duster
2. Vacuum area to remove dust and solid waste
3. Wash down all amenities (bath, basin, shower including taps and traps and handles) with hot water and nonabrasive disinfectant suitable for bathrooms
4. Scrub toilet bowl with disinfectant and toilet brush and wash outside of toilet, seat and tank (including flush
mechanism) with hot water and disinfectant.
5. Allow to dry
6. Spray area with 70% alcohol-based aerosol solution.
CLEANING PRODUCTS AND EQUIPMENT
1. Disinfectant Savlon / Dettol / Absolute Hygiene Thick Bleach and Maxiclean products
2. 70% Alcohol based surface Type 1 Disinfectant and Aerosol ADCO Hygiene
3. Clean mops and cloths are used for every house and used mops and cloths are placed in a plastic bag
separate from the clean equipment.
4. Vacuum cleaner filters are changed and washed on a regular basis

Summary: Strengths
Tranquility (est. 2016) offers a small Self-catering unit in Paradise Beach, Langebaan, and caters mainly
for local tourists and visitors, especially during (long) weekends and in holiday seasons, with a high rate
of guests returns. The unit is well decorated, appointed and private. The building is in a very good state
of repair with fresh well maintained paintwork. There is a small garden on the premises with trees,
decorative pot plants and a water feature. There is also a patio with braai facilities. Garden/outdoor
furniture includes a table with glass top and 4x armchairs. The provided facilities are overall very clean,
neat & tidy. The furniture & furnishing in the bedroom, bathroom as well as in the open plan TV-Lounge,
dining area and kitchen is of very good quality and in very good condition. The owner lives on the
premises and can assist guests at any time.

good condition; there is a small garden on the premises with lawn, trees, decorative pot plants and a
water feature; there is also a tiled patio with private braai facilities; safe and well lit parking area in front
of unit; property is located within Paradise Beach Estate with access control and boom gate.

En-suite bathroom with plastered and painted (impervious surfaces) wall covering and tiled flooring in
very good condition; window with frosted glass; domestic bathroom fixtures & fittings in very good

glass in good order; big metal framed mirror, towel hook, glass shelf, magnifying mirror, sanitary bin,
liquid hand soap, shampoo, tissues, air-freshener, closed toilet brush, drinking glass etc.; towels in
excellent condition including bath mat; very good illumination in room; ease of access to all facilities.

Very warm friendly smile and very helpful attitude; assistance with luggage; very attentive and

etc.; free WIFI is available throughout the SC establishment.

25 August 2019"The name says it all. Tranquility was what we needed and that is exactly what we got and more. This piece of heaven right here blew us away. It is by far one of the best places we have ever been to. Our hosts, Keith and Mary were amazing and gave us the warmest of welcomes. To our surprise, they were waiting for us outside the cottage which was really such a personal touch and not at all what we were expecting. This place is perfect for a romantic couples get away and it has everything you need. The tea, coffee and sugar was a nice touch as well as two sets of towels layed out on the bed for us to use. Might I add thst these towels were thick and soft not to mention large. The bed was beautifully made up and dressed in crisp white linen. There were two extra blankets as well as heaters to warm the place up. Everything was beautiful and clean and I must commend our hosts for keeping everything so neat and tidy. There is enough of every thing you need in including crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots and pans. There is a fridge, microwave and mini oven with two plates for cooking. The bonus off course was the Dstv and we enjoyed watching our favourite programmes. The private beach is but a stone throw away and is magnificent. There is a boardwalk that stretches for miles along the beach and the views are spectacular. There is also a 5 km walk back and forth to a beautiful patch of colourful daisy's growing in the field. There are lots of tortoises in the field as well as moles and theses were quite delightful. Wake up to to beautiful sounds of birds and watch the sun rise and set over the ocean all from the patio. All I can say is that we had the best time ever and would highly recommend Tranquility to anyone. You will not be disappointed! We give Keith and Mary 5 stars. We'll done. The most friendly and warm hosts who made sure we were comfortable without being intrusive.The beach is clean and the perfect spot for long walks to just listen to waves and birds. The peace and serenity was most pronounced and exactly what we wanted. The location is perfect, just metres away from the private beaches where we spent every night watching the awesome and magnificent sunsets and moon floats. Everything was exceptionally well placed, beautifully furnished and clean. We loved every bit of 'Tranquility'... and now just need to figure out when we can come back :-)"

02 May 2014"The flat is part of the main house, was neat, clean and nicely furnished. But we were hugely disappointed and mislead by the one picture which depicts a TV in the living area. There was no TV reception at all, nor radio of any kind - the wire was lying on the floor but we were told there is no antennae. A list of old DVD's is on offer, but we had seen all of interest. We did state our disappointment and asked for a radio of any sorts, but were told they did not have. Having many at home I was not prepared to buy another. If this was in the bush or desert one could appreciate the silence / noises... I would also suggest one takes a heater; as the unit gets only a little morning sun and is cold - we bought a gas one.We had no background music, could not hear the news, were also unable to hear or see the rugby, and very dissatisfied we left a day earlier than paid for. I feel the picture of the TV is blatant misrepresentation and the lack of such should be clearly stated on their advert, or surely they could have an antennae or dish connected."
