Shumba Manor
Shumba Manor is located between Hankey and Patensie on-route to Baviaans Mega Reserve on a working game farm called Shumba Safari's. The beautiful surroundings allow for a relaxed escape from your home town or city.
The Thatched Cottage overlooks the spectacular Gamtoos Valley and is ideal for a couple or a family with two children. The cottage has one bedroom with a double bed and a single bed and a sleeper couch in the living room for the children. It is well equipped with a ceiling fan, a built-in safe, a hairdryer and a hospitality tray. Fully equipped kitchenette and a braai.
There are two budget rooms that are not self-catering. Equipped with twin beds.
The property boasts excellent game viewing and birding opportunities. It is perfect for those that love nature. The days are perfect for some hiking and in the evenings guests should take time to look at the stars above. Addo Elephant Park and Bavaanskloof Mega Reserve are nearby.

28 October 2018"The Cottage is spacious and well kept. The area is beautiful and the view from the top is stunning. We even saw buffalos on the farm. The gravel road is not in good condition, but typical of a farm road."

05 July 2016"The stay there was very relaxing and everything was tops.... once inside and settled. As a disabled person I had difficulty to walk the approximate 60m from the parking area to the unit and being a self-catering unit, it is more than just one's luggage to be carried back and forth."
