"Kitchen utilities could be improved. We loved the man at the gate."

  • "The amazing bush and wildlife. Raw Africa ( with a bit of luxury)"

    26 October 2018

"Had an amazing 4 day 3 night stay here and were so impressed with all the amenities and the surrounding. I think our biggest surprise was how the Tipis and the private shower/ toilet area were (stunning)! This place is not for the person who loves spending time in sterile hotels and who love things being done for them. This is for the adventurer who loves sitting by the fire, cooking in the open air, listening to the sound of the bush and just enjoying pure Africa. The amount of buck and other small animals we saw was great too. Early in the mornings we also got visited by the odd bushbuck and the 4 beautiful giraffes. Thanks to the owner and all the staff for a fantastic 4 days. If the opportunity ever arises, this is the place I will definitely return to !"

  • "Unsatisfied"

    02 May 2018

"On our arrival we had to wash previous guest dirty dishes. The Tipi deck is in a very bad state and someone could hurt themselves badly. It was a nice environment but, not a place that I would recommend."

"We enjoyed a two nights stay at the Tipi Bush camp. Everything was perfect. It was more like glamping. The security at the gate was extremely friendly and helpful. The Tipi's was well equipped and bathrooms clean. Will definitely recommend and be back soon. A wonderful experience in nature, surrounded by wildlife."

  • "Tented camping"

    18 April 2017

  • "Such fun!"

    10 April 2017

"We loved our stay in the tipi! The views over the park across the road were spectacular! Remember to bring a torch as it is very dark and the solar lights only last for so long... East commute into Addo National Park and Addo Village!"

  • "Great Stay"

    28 December 2016

"Great experience, a step up from camping! Awesome to be so close to nature with the Njala"s visiting us at our Tipi and all the game we saw on our walks - we even seen the Giraffes up close and personal. We would recommend a visit to Tipi Bush Camp!"

  • "Another bucket list item checked!"

    14 July 2016

"We spent 5 days at TiPi Bush Camp at the end of June 2016 - what an interesting experience! We were the only people there ... and I think this had more to do with the weather/season than anything else! The TiPi was great - and all you needed to be comfortable in the TiPi was provided, including a gas heater, which we used! Temperatures dropped VERY low at night and it took a bit of getting used to hearing sounds out there during the night and knowing you were the only people there. I must admit to feeling vulnerable the first night, but soon felt comfortable. It was great knowing we were so close to the Addo Elephant Park, and we spent our days game viewing,<div>I would visit again without a doubt, but would do so in warmer months instead. </div>"

  • "TiPi"

    13 June 2016

"We reallyhad a wonderful time; the accommodation was awesome, the facilities greatand I would've given a rating of 4 but for the fact that we had no hot water in the shower on Saturday night. That really sucked! We will no doubt go again but in summer."

  • "Great time in the Bush"

    30 May 2016

"This was our best place during our holidays. Our kids loved the Tipi, and the setup is just awesome! Great view on the valley, where there is always some game to see. In winter time it does get colder, but absolutely worth it! It is only a 10 minute drive to the entrance of Addo Elephant Park, but this place has all quietness, and no bus loads of tourists. We will definitely recommend! <br />"

  • "Perfect Stay"

    12 January 2016

"what a nice place to be, convenient close to the Addo Main Gate, nice view from the splash pool (we saw Zebras, Wild Pigs and we believe a Rhino), excellent setup with all things required."

  • "Enjoyable stay"

    07 January 2016

"Nicely set out, everything you need in a lovely setting with views over parts of Addo. Plenty of game within the premises too.<br />It gets HOT in the tipi's.<br />"

  • "Camping without the work"

    20 December 2015

"What a brilliant idea! At Tipi you can camp without all the hard work and a fridge too. I loved the fact that each tipi has its own ablutions. A wonderful experience and close enough to Addo. The only thing is that our tent was in the full sun so incredibly hot! The other 2 Tipis looked nice and shaded though. Thank-you"

  • "Private paradise"

    18 November 2015

"A friend and I stayed a couple of nights in the bottom tipi. Having once stayed in a tipi in Canada I had low expectations, but this tipi was large and well appointed. One of the best things about the property was being able to sit on the bench under the Acacia tree and watch the herds of zebra and buffalo grazing in Addo Elephant Park. We were also fortunate to see and photograph Afrique's resident giraffe family. Addo Afrique is a great place to stay if you're looking for something rustic and away from the more crowded (and probably more expensive) accommodations provided at Addo Elephant Park.<div>Lyn and Meredeth, Vancouver, Canada</div>"

  • "An Experience to Remember"

    13 November 2015

"<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: helvetica, sans-serif;">Ourstay at TiPi Bush Camp was absolutely one to remember. It will now be ournumber one spot to stay every time we visit Addo.</span><span style="font-family: helvetica, sans-serif; color: #222222; background: white;">Everything you need is thought of for you and at hand. In the morning wewere woken up by elephant andgiraffe call from reserve that we lookedover. In the evenings we sat on the hill side watching the animals acrossthe way. One evening we were joined by two young nyala who watched us with justas much amazement before wondering off into the bushes behind us. TiPi BushCamp is trulya unique experience, you camp with comfort and luxuryand no fuss at all. Our stay was truly a pleasure and I can't wait to goback.</span><o:p></o:p></p>"

"All very nice. Maybe the places where the tent isnt fully snake/spider proof could be attended to for more nervous guests?<br />"

  • "Tipi Bush Camp"

    17 January 2014

"Fantastic. Everything you need is in the Tipi.Very neat. In the morning you can enjoy your coffee while watching the animals, at night we enjoyed the braai area. Can't wait to go again."

  • "TiPi Bush Camp"

    10 January 2014

"This was an excellent experience for the whole family. In the middle of a small game park you certainly get the feeling of being in the wild. There are only 2 TiPi's and we rarely saw the other people, we saw more game roaming around! The TiPi was well equipped but the gas fridge took a while to get it lit and would have been better if it was cool on arrival. I would say the TiPi is ideal for a family of 4 maximum - we had our family of 5 in there and it was a little tight (but fun). We would definitely return for a short break to experience the fun of 'roughing it' in the wild!"

  • "Excellent camping experience"

  • "Pre-made camping"

    18 December 2013

"Wonderfully secluded large teepee with everything you need for camping, without having to set it all up or repack! Cramped for 4 of us but we managed without too much trouble. Cooking in the braai pit was great. Convenient to Addo. Would stay here again."

  • "Wonderful"
