Faraway Fields Farm

Faraway Fields Farm lies in a magical place high up on the Piketberg Mountain, in an area known as Piket-bo-Berg. Surrounded by pristine fynbos and productive citrus, apple and pear orchards, the views stretches far into the distance over wheat fields and vineyards.

At once a place of solitude and peace and on the other hand one of energetic mountain walks. It is here that the mind is stilled and the body recovers from the rigours of suburban life. The bird- and plant life adds to the enchantment. A list of the birds found in the area is available.

There are three cottages; the Garden Cottage is near the main farm house but very private, where the remaining two cottages are in close proximity to each other but still retains privacy.

The cottages are more suitable as a destination of a few nights rather than a one-night stopover as the farm lies 25 km out of Piketberg and up the steep Versfeld Pass.
