Emerald View Apartment

We offer a furnished, self-catering duplex for rent in a secure complex in Port Alfred, within minutes drive of Kellys beach. There are two double rooms upstairs, one with a queen size bed and the second with two single beds. The main bedroom has an annexe with a double bunk in it. A full bathroom is upstairs (bath, shower, WC), with an open plan lounge / dining / kitchen and separate guest WC downstairs. The lounge has a double sleeper couch if preferred, as well as TV, DStv decoder* (bring your own card) and mini hi-fi. The unit can sleep 6 quite comfortably. *If you would like us to arrange for DStv, please let us know DStv charges us R30 per day, so we are happy to offer you connectivity at the same rate.PLEASE NOTE: NO SMOKING IS PERMITTED INSIDE THE UNIT.We have furnished the unit as a relaxed seaside holiday place - please understand that this is a functional family unit, not a luxury destination!As the family's holiday home, the duplex is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery for 6, oven & hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee percolator and fridge. Linen is supplied. Parking is inside the secure complex. There is also rain water for drinking and a communal swimming pool with braai areas. A 50% deposit is required to secure this booking. The final payment is due three (3) weeks before arrival. There is a Security Deposit of R250 to cover breakages/damage. This is payable when you make the final payment. It is fully refundable (less breakages/damage, if applicable) and will be repaid to you after the unit has been checked at departure. If inspection cannot happen before you leave, we will refund to a bank account you nominate via eft. We look forward to welcoming you to the Sunshine Coast!

"The apartment itself is in a secure area and not far from essential amenities. However I had a problem with housekeeping. When we arrived the atmosphere inside was not fresh. The toilets, bath and shower were very dirty(and this is a big issue with me as it a health issue). Not to say that I was not bothered by the fact that the towels were not in good condition to such an extent that one towel, which was supposed to be white had stains in it, the pillows belonged to some Jonathan. I don't expect to be 100% content when I'm away from home but the accomodation should be just comfortable enough. I feel that we were not treated with respect that with derseve and as clients who paid for the accomodation."
