Kelly's Beachfront Apartments

Kelly's Beachfront Apartments is situated on the seafront of Port Alfred along the Sunshine Coast. The property is ideally located opposite the popular Kelly's Beach.

The accommodation comprises seven self-catering apartments that accommodate between two and six guests. Each bedroom of the various apartments contains at least one bedroom equipped with an extra-length king-size bed or twin beds, bathrooms with a shower or a separate bath and shower, and a small kitchen area. The kitchens are equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

Facilities in the apartments include a TV with selected DStv channels, a safe for valuable items, and access to a balcony or patio with views of the sea. Additional facilities include a communal braai area, free Wi-Fi, an alarm system, and secure parking on the premises. Laundry service is available at an extra cost.
Nearby attractions include the Royal Port Alfred Golf Course, Kelly's Beach, Great Fish River Wetland Nature Reserve, and Fish River Country Club.

"We arrived to find no bell to call for attention. Luckily the gardener was outside and called someone to let us in. She (Patricia) also opened our apartment and showed us how to lock the door. There was no mention of how to set the alarm (the advertisement stated alarm service), although there was a panic button in the bedroom. The unit had all that one would need and was relatively clean. A small microwave and two plate stove, with the plates starting to rust. The two seater couch is dirty and the fabric torn in one spot. The sliding door where we entered had a crack at the bottom. The house rules stated that one would be held responsible for breakages, I hope the owner is aware that the door was cracked before we arrived. The apartment was relatively clean but the bathroom is in need of a make over/upgrade, especially the shower. There is an outside braai area at no 1 (where we stayed) for all the guests to use. This makes it uncomfortable when other guests want to use it, as your privacy is compromised. We did not see Melissa at all. Received a whatsapp message to say we must let her know if we need anything and again to say there will be load shedding. Patricia who let us in when we arrived, said we could just go to reception if we needed anything, but no indication of where reception is, also no signboards. There was no guest book to write any comments. We did not stay the full period that we booked for, we left a day earlier. I cannot see how the establishment could be graded as 4 star."
