  "The whole place was smelling jeyes fluid, and the sink was leaking. The electricity went out on the morning, and the was noone to even explain what was happening until we left. A no return for me"

  "I have to put a star in otherwise I will not be able to submit this. On arrival there was no-one around luckily met a lady who was the 'owners' mother who escorted us to a 'house' on the edge of a dam, certainly not what was seen the images that we had. It transpired that due a prior messed up booking we were moved to this raised accommodation which was certainly not appropriate for my 74 year old mother who walks with a stick/frame. There was 1 double bed, 2 single beds in a room and 2 hastily added beds in the living room - I had requested suitable arrangements for 6 people. There were not adequate seating arrangements for eating, the place was falling to pieces - the shower door was broken, bricks around the base of the shower were falling off, the toilet seat was loose. The 'balcony' although made to look rustic was quite frankly dangerous especially with children around. There was no information in the house as to what was available locally etc. or that we were meant to provide our own drinking water. The fridge door would not shut properly and at one point completely stopped working and we had to phone her to replace it.<br/>The swimming pool was green and slimy plus we were nowhere near it - the children had to walk across the bush to get to it!<br/><br/>We never saw anyone in the office - the only plus was that we stayed 1 extra night without having to pay - in fact we should have been paid to stay there!<br/><br/>Such a sad place it could have been so nice and I really wish I could say something better but sadly not!<br/><br/>This was the second place that we stayed in promoted by Safarinow - which has been inadequate surely as a company they should inspect what they are selling and have some standards - shame on you!"

  "Dear Jen<br/>My hubby (Pieter) and I would like to thank you for sharing your holiday home with us we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. <br/>Beautiful sunrises and sunsets with amazing milkyways. <br/>Loved the wildlife and waking to the sound of the birds every morning.<br/>Our place was always kept neat & tidy & everything about our cottage was amazing. Our only criticism would be the cutlery & utensils, this really Needs you be jacked up a bit.... e.g. we had to go out ans buy our own pan to make breakfasts and whatever else we needed fried... and a few other day to day essentials for a kitchen that was not available... grater, sharp knife, etc. etc.<br/>We will definitely recommend your place to fellow holiday makers, family & friends... and hope to see you on the near future.<br/>Best Regards <br/>Vanessa & Piet"

  "I was somewhat disappointed with the services at Swallow's Rest. 1)Broken fridge which was replaced. 2)Non working oven which had to be fixed. 3)Leaking basin and broken shower fitting. 4)No spare supply of loo paper or towels. We had to depart early due to infestation of bugs and gecko droppings throughout the flatlet. This accommodation could be spectacular if the above was sorted out beforehand."

  "Our stay at the lodge was amazing. It has a beautiful landscape. The units were amazingly spacious, clean and beautiful with all the resources to make your stay as comfortable as possible, even if you wanted to cook for yourself. The closeness to the nature is the cherry on top; waking up and seeing animals all around you. We will definitely be back again soon."

  "Staying at Swallow's Rest Lodge was very awesome. Jen and his son are such wonderful people, we really felt at home. They go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome and at home. I absolutely loved that cottage as it provided us with all the privacy we needed. I cannot find enough words to describe what a fantabulous time we had. And Jen, thank you for the fish."

  "My boyfriend and I absolutely loved the cottage we stayed in. We had our own space and it really felt like we were in our own home. Jen was a great host and the hospitality was out of this world. We will definitely be coming back, especially because the place is classy and reasonable. We really enjoyed our short stay."
