Wavecrest Self-catering Suites are situated on the Sunshine Coast in Port Alfred. If you are feeling energetic, the Royal Alfred Golf course is only three minutes away, as are the bowls and tennis clubs. Should you need a bit of activity, shops, restaurants, river cruises, or boat hiring and water sports facilities are only five minutes away.We are part of the Sunshine Coast tourist route, hence our recent 4 Sun rating. Accommodation is offered in well-appointed self-catering suites equipped with all of the mod cons required for a relaxing holiday. All of the suites overlook the sea and offer complimentary tea and coffee - all you need to bring is your beach towels. Families are easily accommodated in either the Whale Watch or Dolphin suites, which can sleep up to four people each, while couples and singles will enjoy the spacious Whale Watch or the cosy comfort of Cowley Shell suite where guests can simply step across the road and onto the pristine beach.With only 40 metres to a safe beach and within walking distance to one of the select Blue Flag beaches with life savers, public toilets, showers and parking, guests can spend their days sunbathing, taking a leisurely stroll up or down kilometres of unspoilt beach, or collecting a few shells.

"Internet was advertised but there was none, DsTV limited no children channel, no washing rack, no heater, basin pluck in bathroom doesn't work, soap and dish washing liquid watered down, no toilet paper day 2, our last two days fell on Saturday and Sunday no domestic available we were asked to do the dishes before we leave because of an ant problem in the kitchen. We didn't feel very comfortable because the owner is up and around the unit early. We were asked at 8.20am when we're going out for the day because the domestic has to clean the room. It's only avarage self catering and the advertising is missleading."

"We found the accommodation quite comfortable and in the perfect location. One can simply cross a dune and you are on the beach! Our stay was clouded with a squabble over money. (I requested a quote and payed the sum quoted before our arrival.) Our group could not fit into the rooms I have asked for and we were forced to pay for two "additional" people. (In the end my son got his money back, but it still leaves a bitter taste.) One would expect to be informed at the time of booking that the group will not fit into the requested lodging and not almost upon arrival after all payment had been made."
