We hope that Scotia Inn will provide you with all the charm of a little town and the relaxation of a seaside village. When the heat becomes intolerable, the weather of Port Nolloth presents an enormous relief to many travellers. There are glorious sun-drenched days too, although the weather is usually moderate.
All rooms are non-smoking and ships can be seen coming in and out of the harbour. We have a conference room service which can seat up to 30 delegates. We provide safe and secure parking on the premises and we are situated in town, so we are within walking distance of the shops and other amenities.
We have a fully licenced sports bar and an la carte restaurant which is open from 07h00 until 22h00 with a break between 15h00 and 18h00. We provide laundry and room service and there is also a club that opens on Fridays and Saturdays for your entertainment. The club has a VIP room for privacy. A hair and beauty salon, bottle store swimming pool and a bookshop can also be found on the premises.
"For the price we have paid and the fact that it is a self catering hotel, breakfast should be included. The rates are too high for 3 star facilities.I requested a double bed but instead we got a room with single/3 quarter beds.It was very dissapointing to find out that the restaurant of the hotel closed for the whole day of 1 January 2018. We were not warned beforehand and therefor we were stuck in n NON selfcatering room with no food. All other restaurants in Port Nolloth were also closed. That was unexceptable and dissapointing."
"Being a hotel, a breakfast should be included"
"Enjoyed the hotel. Good value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was excellent. Best soul I have ever eaten. Chris and Cathy Assad"
"<p>Enjoyed the location and setting of the Scotia Inn, The staff were very pleasant and the character of the hotel was fitting forit's remote location. The breakfast was amazing.</p><p>Unfortunately the beach, although looked amazing from the hotel is a disgrace. The local council management and tourist board should be ashamed at their lack of control of waste and rubbish accumulating.</p><p>It was evident that raw sewerage was spilling out over the beach in certain areas. The stench was over powering.Broken glass was spread over the beach, rubbish was collecting in the vegetation.</p><p>The boardwalk and wooden stairs were in disrepair and a danger to public safety.<br></br></p><p>Sadly the future of Port Nolloth and it's quaint remoteness obviously is at risk because of the current council and it's inability to manage and clean up the environment.</p>"
"Modern accommodation, great views from the balcony. My only advice would be to NOT eat in the restaurant, both supper & breakfast were not pleasant."
"Ons was baie vriendelik ontvang. Die slaap eenheid was baie mooi, skoon en gerieflik. Die kamer is egter baie warm met die somerson wat laat middag daar inskyn - 'n waaier sou baie lekker gewees het! Ek sal verseker weer daar kom bly en ook aanbeveel.<div><br /></div><div>Johan & Magda Fouch</div>"
"Thank you to Scotia Inn for a wonderful home from home experience! We were very impressed with all the spotless and practical amenities provided. My only regret is that I hadn't planned to linger longer. So far Scotia Inn has been the highlight of our holiday. Hoping that I will be blessed with another opportunity to visit again soon. The staff were very friendly and helpful. 10 out of 10!!"
"Although the rooms are clean and functional, our room was blessed with a pokey window. Service at the restaurant was slow and I went to the pool area where after sitting for an hour I got no service. My son ordered an omelet that was so bad he could not eat it. They did deduct it from the bill. On booking out, we were told that there was an outstanding amount of R56.00 despite us having pre-paid in full. We refused to pay this and suggested they contact SafariNow to establish why there was an outstanding amount. In general I can not say that I was impressed with Scitia Inn."
"Excellent stay for 2 nights.Large and clean room, safe parking and nice view to the beach.Very friendly staff and good food."
"The rooms were extremely basic but clean, not much to speak of. The guests next door was in regular arguments which could be well heard as the doors connecting the rooms do not do a lot for sound proofing. The restaurant operates very slowly especially on Sunday evenings as it was the only place open to get a meal but I guess they are not used to such a rush of people."
"Not a bad little hotel, but breakfast should had been included as there was no where else respectable to have one."
"The staff were very polite and helpful; and the room clean and what I expect.... unfortunately the restaurant was out of operation (renovations) so I can't comment there... If I do have advice though don't book room 19, it's over the club, that said, when I requested a new room I was given that immediately."
"Hotel clean, well situated."
"Light clear and clean rooms with balkony and a stunning view. Regret no internet."
