Spreeufontein Guest Farm

CLOSED Until further notice. Spreeufontein Guest Farm is situated about 40 km from Prince Albert, in the Great Karoo. It offers a peaceful and quiet atmosphere that caters for the outdoor lovers.

The old farmhouse consists of four bedrooms, a full bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, an open-plan lounge and a braai area. As there is no electricity, a generator is used for lights and a gas stove for cooking. Meals can be ordered by prior arrangement only.

Numerous day excursions will keep guests busy, and a nearby site is famous for its Dynacophylin and Bradysaurus foot prints. Guests can enjoy the farms hiking trails or just relax while watching the variety of bird life.

  • "Very disappointed"

    05 January 2016

"Found the place dirty, with electric wires all over the place. Battled with water. Fridge had a terrible smell, like something was off inside. Dust everywhere. Stay well clear of this place, unless you want to rough it. Very overpriced. Won't see us again. Must say the owners were very friendly and pleasant, but this could not make up for the poor accommodation."

  • "Fantastic"

"Thanks so much for the amazing stay! The guest farm is very isolated with incredible views of the night sky. The host is fantastic and made our stay very enjoyable. Thank you!"
