Suntsani Resort offers a breathtaking escape for all nature and water sport lovers. Come relax, while listening to the cry of our local pair of fish eagles or enjoy some water activities on the Bonkolo Dam. There is something for young and old, all set in this tranquil environment.
Surrounded by mountains and blue skies, it is a haven for the avid fisherman. Birdwatchers are also welcome, as we boast a bird sanctuary on our doorstep. The self-catering chalets are for those who would like a weekend retreat out of the hustle and bustle of town. These spacious units are ideal for hosting family or friends.
The Bonkola Dam, just out of town on the Dordrecht Road, is one of the towns main sources of water. The wall was built in 1905 and was for years the largest concrete dam wall in South Africa.
"Kagelvuur .alles was nice gewees.Dankie"
"We finally arrived at Suntsani Escape after battling against the directions and the road to be greeted with an inebriated person who told us he was in charge of the "campsite". When finally the owner phoned us back, he advised that "he was not emailed by youselves that we had confirmed our booking "(with a deposit). We did not like the look of the place, nor the attitude and decided to drive onto Stutterheim to Wattle Chop where we were greeted with open arms. I will be requesting my deposit from yourselves on my return home and will avoid bookings of this nature in the future."
"Sorry, couldn't stay over"
"Mountain biking. Nice owners, very helpful."
"Peaceful and quiet. The owner Roddy even had the fireplace going when we arrived."
"Netjies en skoon.<i>Neat and clean</i>"
"Perfect for an overnight stay. Tastefully finished and very comfortable accommodation."
