Situated in a cul-de-sac of a quiet suburb in Queenstown, the Gideon Boutique Guest House offers luxury accommodation and a conference facility to its guests.
There are five beautifully furnished rooms all with en-suite bedrooms. The rooms have air-conditioning and personal desks and chairs. They have sliding doors that lead out onto either a balcony or the garden. Breakfast is served in the communal dining room, and dinner can be served on request at a minimal fee. Guests can relax in the garden or by the swimming pool, and there is ample parking available on the premises.
The establishment is located close to Laurence de Lange Game Reserve and the Berry Dam.
"We were very disappointed with our stay. The guest house has no markings outside, leaving us in doubt as to weather it was the correct place. The footpath and entrance leading up to the front door is dirty and neglected, with a huge trench dug out in front of the garage. We were warmly welcomed by the lady on duty, however the child watching (a very loud) TV in the lounge, was off-putting. The rooms were beautifully decorated, all furniture and dcor only of the best ( the best bed I have ever slept in). That being said, the devil is in the detail. The air-con remote was missing, the patio door could not lock, the fan in the second room did not work, the pool was greener than the grass, the grass was overgrown, only one towel per bathroom, no tomato sauce at breakfast. The breakfast was plenty and very good though. It is a pity the service standard was so very low, as I would gladly have returned otherwise."
