  • "Excellent Food and hospitality!"

    10 December 2017

"Mseni Lodge is a great place to wind down and relax. We enjoyed our peaceful and pleasant stay in our cute and charming chalet. The staff were very friendly and and helpful. The restaurant boasts a lovely atmosphere and great variety of food at a reasonable price. Our day was spent fishing at the beach walking distance from the lodge and we spent a afternoon at the pool watching the monkeys and birds in their natural environment. Will come back for another visit soon."

  • "The gorgeous Seaview Cabin"

    22 April 2017

"My husband and I decided to upgrade from a forest cabin to the Seaview house. It was well worth it! The house is spacious, comfortable and clean. It seems to have been newly renovated. The view is just breathtaking from the large balcony. Even though it's close to the restaurant you aren't bothered at all by activity. You can park your car right next to the cabin which is a blessing if you have a lot of luggage to carry. We were extremely happy with our decision. Thank you to all at Mseni Lodge for an unforgettable holiday."

  • "A short stay . . ."

    26 February 2016

"We found the accommodation to be neat, tidy and clean - quite adequate. However, these are our gripes :<div><br /><div>1. It has a beach entrance, but is not near the beach! Quite a walk to get there.</div><div>2. On arrival, we had no ice trays, hence no ice, and it was a boiling hot day. When we asked for ice trays, an ice bucket was supplied . . . ?</div><div>3. We requested a double bed, but got x2 singles (even though we were specifically asked what we would prefer . . . )</div><div><br /></div><div>Not really what we expected.</div><div>Thanks</div><div>Sandy</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div></div>"

"I just wish the parksboard would make fireworks in the park illegal but that has noting to do with Mseni. We could just hear it very close to us every night.<br />"

"We had a very pleasant three nightstay, the chalet was neat clean and tidy was a perfect escape with no tv radio and fridge if that is your bag. We enjoyed the quiet as that is what we were after, perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful, an electrical problem we had was attended to immediately no inconvenience to the hosts. The restaurant churned out lovely meals we were pleasantly surprised. We have no hesitation in recommending the place. If you are after a luxurious stay with all the modern day facilities rather go somewhere else.Mseni Lodge a great wayto escape."

  • "Stuck in time and run down."

"Msenzi is in need of serious renovation, it is run down, stuck in time.&nbsp; It smell of mould.&nbsp;"

  • "Excellent location very poor accommodation"

    15 April 2015

"My family and I (2 adults and 2 children) spent our last 2 days in South Africaat Sodwana Bay which is splendid. We chose Mseni Lodge for its location h=jus by the dunes, We were very disappointed to the state of our chalet:. I didn't expected a "SPA bath and shower wet room" but a normal clean working shower and not passing from scalding to freezing water temperature. No complimentary tea and coffee either, which not having any shops nearby was unpleasant too. Finally, you need a 4X4 car to reach Meseni."

"Very nice place but in need of maintenance. Staff very friendly and helpful. Gauze on windows will help to keep the pesky monkeys out of the bungalows."

  • "Nice place on the beach"

    06 September 2014

"If you want a REAL beach place where you can walk to the beach in a few minutes and be in the dunes from the start, this is THE place to go.Comfort of the rooms is not great but perfectly okay for a beach vacation, shower worked very well.Great beach with fantastic dunes and almost no people, but not for swimming if the waves are strong, in the shade in September in the afternoon. About 25 minutes beach walk to Jesser Point where the water is calmer and there are more folks around."

  • "Great!"

    07 January 2014

"The little log cabins where perfect for what one needs- a place to lay your head.Very neat, chilled and private nestled away between the lush vegetation. The breakfast wasn't great, two plates with severely undercooked eggs, and bad imitation fruit juice, though the restaurant's location and views are awesome. Most certainly will visit again, but self catering option next time a must."

  • "Need maintenance"

    11 February 2013

"Sodwana Park is a wonderful place with great natural views but Mseni Lodge is not so great. Although the house have good areas, it was not so clean as expected and needs some maintenance works. Also there was a lack of kitchen equipment (like a coffee pot or a broom!), the toaster was break and fridges were clearly to old. Also there wasn't any kind of warning about the monkeys that come and hardly attacked the kitchen. Even the staff wasn't very nice. Nevertheless the house has a nice balcony with outstanding views."

"Mseni Lodge was a surprise. The log cabins were neat and clean. The B&B units were a bit small for a family of four. We were moved to a self- catering unit which was much better with regards to space and comfort. It had two bathrooms and two bedrooms with a small kitchen. The atmosphere of the place is special with sandy paths between the cabins. The cabins are half hidden away between the bushes, however we did not feel unsafe. Very quiet, with a short walk to beautiful untouched beaches. The good at the restaurant was a bit limited, but pleasant. Overall it was an awesome experience."

  • "Friendly"

  • "Enjoyable stay."

"Chalets are separated from the beach by a natural forest and have no sea view, however only a short walk to the beach. Camp is kept clean and tidy, and surrounds are safe. Beach is stunning. Do take a board for dune riding!"
