  • "Ratanang Shabangu, North West"

    03 November 2015

"The place feels like home. My friend and I arrived and we were welcomed by the owner, he was so kind and explained everything. He understood our needs as runners and that made us to relax more. We will definitely be back when we come for next year Soweto marathon."

  • "Misleading about self catering and availabality of the rooms"

    19 August 2015

"We, a family with 3 kids, booked two rooms with gardenview, one of them with selfcatering. They said one of rhe rooms was not availiable, so we got another room which was old and dark, no good value. Self catering was not possible in the selfcatering room: no cooking possible. You have a fridge and a waterboiler.<div>When we arrived the manager didnt want us to cancel because of this. When I looked the same evening on bookingsite for this hotel, like booking.com, it said the 3 person room with gardenview was still available! We felt very bad serviced by the manager, i highly rcemmens NOT to go here, although the staff of the hotel was very frienslu, despite their bad management.</div>"

  • "Gold Reef Place"

"Pretty clean, could have done with soap in the bathroom, and the other guests were extremely loud until late at night. Otherwise pretty much what you would expect from a 3 star."

  • "Great weekend"

    06 December 2012

"A small centrally located B&B. I only encountered two problems being that the hot water tap was broken at the basin and there was no toilet paper. I would still recommend Gold Reef Place."

  • "We really enjoyed ourselves"

    01 January 2010

"We really enjoyed ourselves at Gold Reef Place. We had the whole place to ourselves practically. We cooked for ourselves, just felt like home. Since we have been back to Kenya, my wife mentions Gold Reef place about three times a day...how she misses it."
