Garingboom Guest Farm

Garingboom Guest Farm has two self-catering cottages and three en-suite cottages. It is an eco-friendly Karoo sheep farm situated in the Southern Free State, 150 km south of Bloemfontein on the N1. Two trails on the farm provide the opportunity to do some birding and walking on your own.

We offer accommodation in comfortable fully equipped, two-bedroom cottages under shady trees. Each unit includes air-conditioning, a TV, kitchenette, fridge, barbecue facilities and covered parking. Breakfast and special Karoo lamb dinners are also available.

Over 140 species of birds are listed on the farm. These include the burchell's courser, layard's titbabler, blue korhaan, rock pipit and many other Karoo specials. A new species, the kimberley pipit, are residents on the farm and in the winter times. The longtailed pipit is a special visitor. Ritte is an experienced birder and special birding trips, horse rides and dragonfly spotting can be arranged with her.
