  • "Good Budget Accommodation"

    21 January 2014

"Enjoyed our stay; nice big bed and clean and tidy! Slightly disappointed in that accommodation was "self-catering" but there was no fridge (for milk!) or proper area to make food. However for budget accommodation it was perfect and right on the doorstep to Stanford!"

  • "Wonderful stay"

    10 November 2012

"We were welcomed so warmly and shown to the comfortable accomodation. We would recommend Mokoro to anyone. The price is right and the accomodation very comfortable. Make sure you are there on Saturday morning for the village market where Calli and John have a wonderful selection of food items."

  • "Very nice"

    13 August 2012

"Mokoro Hideaway was like a little slice of the Seychelles, hidden behind the Mokoro shop in the tiny village of Stanford. The accommodation was small and looks just like the photos. The weather was cold at night, but hot water bottles and a thick duvet kept us warm and cozy. It's perfect for the couple or traveler that spends most their time out and about exploring the nearby village, wineries, cheese farm, and coastline of South Africa. The room could use a mini-fridge, but that didn't stop us from enjoying our time there. It is located in the heart of the village within walking distance to restaurants/cafes and the owner's shop is also worth taking a look in for souvenirs."

  • "Great location"

    25 December 2011

"Centrally placed in this quirky town - a short walk to all the bars and restaurants, nice room with a comfy bed. Very good value for money."
