Linga Longa Cottage

Our lovely cottage, Linga Longa has re-opened and ready to take your bookings.
Linga Longa is a comfortable self-catering cottage situated in the beautiful village of Suiderstrand, completely surrounded by the Agulhas National Park.

If you are looking for a place that in peaceful and not overcrowded, and some days you may be the only people on the beach, then Suiderstrand is the place for you.

The cottage consists of three en-suite bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a large open-plan living area with a fireplace. All linen is provided, but bring your own blankets and towels. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher as well as a washing machine.

Guests are required to bring their own decoder for DStv, and prepaid Wi-fi is available.

The area is filled with interesting flora and fauna, and the rock pools on the beach are teeming with sea creatures. The beach and environs allow for a full day of exploration and hunting for pretty pebbles or just enjoying a day out in the sun.

Build a sandcastle with the white sand or dip your feet into the cool water. You will also find there is a marine lagoon and plenty of pebbly bays to explore.

"It is a real seaside cottage and the view from the lounge is beautiful. Unfortunately it looks like the maintenance is definitely not up to standard. No hot water (on one of the coldest weekends of the year); the roof leaks at more than one place in the lounge and in the one bathroom (it rained a lot on our first night there and also the first day). The one bedside lamp didn't work (we put another bulb in, but it still didn't work). There are bulbs missing in some lights in the colttage, or the bulbs are dead.The one shower is clogged and the basin next to it is also clogged. It is not nice to shower, while you are also standing in cold water). So yes, it is a real holiday cottage, the view is beautiful and the fireplace is a bonus, but we will not go there again after this experience."
