"Comfortable and spacious rooms, lovely breakfast and attentive hosts. Will definitely be back."

  • "Well located for Addo"

    02 March 2017

"The owners were really friendly and helpful. Our stay was very comfortable, the rooms was clean and well equipped.Note that some of the information on the website about the putting green and river access are a little out of date. Fish Eagles Lodge isn't so much a destination in itself but if you're looking for somewhere to stay close to Addo Park then it's perfect."

  • "Lovely deck views over river"

    20 January 2014

"The situation of the lodge is really beautiful, with stunning views over the river. However we had really bad weather with rain which made it unenjoyable. There was no cover over the deck in case of bad weather and our rooms weren't ready for over an hour and we wanted to relax after travelling. I did not like the fact that the lounge and dining room are part of the family home."

"Very nice and tranquil however here some suggestions. A bar fridge in the room a must and preferably a TV and it would have been perfect."

"Sue and Steve made us very welcome at Fish Eagles Lodge, and we had a most enjoyable stay. The position next to the river is beautiful, the rooms are well-appointed and comfortable, and there is a lot to see and do in the surrounding area. I only wish that we could have stayed for longer!"

  • "Wish it was a longer stay"

    28 January 2012

"We stayed here for two nights and were sorry that our schedule didn't allow a longer stay. We were made to feel very much at home by our lovely hosts. Fish Eagles Lodge is excellent in every respect. The room was really lovely - made even better by small touches. We had a super evening meal and the breakfasts were first class. Sue and Steve arranged for us to go on a safari - nothing was too much trouble."

  • "Lovely position, great breakfast, pleasant people"

    05 May 2011

"We enjoyed our stay on the Sunday River. The deck is a very pleasant place to drink some tea. Missed the fish eagle but saw the brown and flooded river. Good the building is high up! Sue does the best cooked breakfast in the world! She really does a good job with it. We hit a few balls on the putting green too - more practice needed!"
