Thesen Islands, a multi-award-winning marina development located in the scenic Knysna estuary on the renowned "Garden Route". Knysna's unrivalled natural beauty, lush forests, sandy beaches and interesting history make this charming town one of the country's most visited holiday destinations.

The air-conditioned house has 2 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, scullery, single garage, and patio directly over the canal. The house comfortably sleeps four people with two per bedroom. The house has luxury finishes throughout and is fully serviced on a weekly basis. Uncapped Wi-Fi internet is also available.

The living room leads directly onto a waterside deck and the house's own private jetty where power boats up to 7 m in length can be moored. The house is fully equipped with every conceivable requirement to make your stay comfortable. In the kitchen there is a microwave oven, convection oven and glass hob, cooker hood, refrigerator with freezer, all crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots, pans, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board. Coffee machine available. Feel free to bring coffee capsules. The scullery has a double sink, dish washer, washing machine and drier.

The dining area has a six-seater table with chairs, and glass doors that open onto a patio with a built in barbecue for al fresco dining. The living room's sofas and chairs provide comfortable seating for four to six people who can enjoy watching television with DStv or their own DVDs. Alternatively, turn on the sound system and enjoy the excellent views of the lagoon from the living room or the deck which leads off it. The garage with its electronically operated door, has room for one car.

Solar panels with inverter and battery backup for electricity reserves during rolling blackouts. Gas water heating system to ensure warm 24/7.

Thesen Harbour Town is an Online Information Website aimed at promoting Thesen Island as a tourist and business destination.

East Head Cafe. Has a kids corner and fantastic views of the Knysna Heads. Ile de Pain, Retail, Cafe and Restaurant. Liezie's meals are fun, unpretentious, full of vibrant flavours and textures. She is adamant about sourcing the freshest, best quality ingredients from nearby farmers and quality food producers.

"If you manage to secure a booking at this beautiful home you can be assured of the very best and want for little. Of the homes we have stayed in, and seen via friends who have also rented, this is by far one of the best equipped. Everything is of the highest quality and cleanliness (thanks Elizabeth for being so amazing) and you feel as though you are the very first guests ever to stay in this lovely home. Arrive and enjoy your stay and you will not be disappointed. Just be aware that you are in close proximity to neighbours so any late night, into midnight, dinner parties on the deck are a no-no, as we discovered the hard way. "We just spent a week at Thesen Island with our two kids. The house is beautifully decorated, very clean and well maintained. It has everything you need from dishwashing tablets to swimming towels, a cleaning service is also available. The house is located a stone throw away from all the Thesen Island restaurants - very convenient! We stayed in April and it was lovely and quiet. The Island itself is a stunning place for a family holiday - lots of space to ride bikes, go for a run or rent canoes and spend time on the canals. A highly recommended house."
