"On arrival there was no toilet paper in our bathroom and there was only one towel (we were two people). Although you provide a kettle and tea, there were no cups, no milk/cremora or coffee. There was a winter duvet on the one bed. Considering the temperature upon arrival was 40 degrees this really baffled me. The bedding had holes in it and was stained. The hand towel we had on our last day looked like it had been eaten by rats. There was a huge chunk of the towel that was just missing. The curtain was hanging off the curtain rail. One of the slates on the cupboard is hanging off. You advertise how breakfast is available from 6:30 but on two occasions (the 26th and 27th) we arrived after 7 to a locked up restaurant. Nowhere is there any mention of your restaurant being closed on public holidays. In fact it was open on Christmas day and closed on Boxing day. I understand that these are public holidays but as a business in the hospitality industry it is very bad form to be closed during, what must be, your busiest period, especially when there is no mention of it anywhere. There is no excuse to not have been open from 6:30 on the 27th especially considering that we (your only guest house clients by the looks of things) were checking out on that day. Never in my life have I had to run after people to try and pay my bill. Lastly, we had bought a box of 4 After Eight chocolates and eaten one. Upon returning to our room (after it had been serviced) there were only 2 left. This isn't a huge issue as a chocolate is worth nothing but the cheek of just taking one out of the box and thinking we won't notice? Unacceptable!"
