  • "Friendly & great value for money"

    26 September 2017

"We stayed the night after riding Karoo to Coast. We received a very friendly welcome and shown to our clean room. Our host had anticipated that we would be hungry and on his own initiative made a dinner reservation for us at the only restaurant in Uniondale open on Sunday evenings! The farmer's breakfast the next morning was excellent. We will definitely stay again if in Uniondale."

  • "Uniondale Boutique Hotel"

    15 January 2013

"This hotel is going through a difficult time with the owner and the manager having had a misunderstanding. The owner closed the hotel for a week when the manager took leave over the Season and when we wanted to check in there was no staff and rooms had not been cleaned. The manager was just back from his leave and helped us settle in with amazing energy all on his own. That evening he cooked a fine dinner for us and the next morning made a hearty breakfast. He was most friendly and made our stay memorable. The hotel has much potential, but our room had no bedside tables or reading lights; the windows could not open, no towel rails; no toilet roll holder; no mirror in room; no dustbins; no pictures on walls; a view of the kitchen gas bottles and garbage cans. The manager deserves better support by the owner and he needs a full team of staff if the operation is going to be sustainable."
