  "The owner was very responsive fro the onset with clear directions to the property and instruction to access the property. The house is very spacious and the beds super comfortable. It is remote and quiet, and has beautiful views ober the valley. We have no complaints whatsoever and can recommend this property."

  "Not clean. Ball of hair in one of the main bathroom showers. Linen not clean (kids bedroom). Brown dry particles were found inside one bed. The extra warm blankets were dirty and definitely not washed in a long time.The house is very cold and there are no heaters or electric blankets. The coal stove is suppose to provide heat but no proper explanation was provided in the operation thereof.This is also the first self catering accommodation we came across with no coffee, sugar or milk available."

  "A lovely secluded house on a big farm estate with a fantastic view. We only spent one night here but we're already planning a return trip. Note that it's quite a distance from stores so you should take your own supplies along, you definitely won't want to leave. Rather light a fire in the lounge fireplace and enjoy the place"

  "I enjoyed the evening at Highlands Farm Estate.<div><br /></div><div>We traveled with two caravan's and we didn't have any problems on the gravel road with the caravan's. Gravel road well maintained.</div><div><br /></div><div>The house is beautiful and equipped with everything needed. The view is really nice.</div><div><br /></div><div>Just a few negative aspects: not dusted throughout, windows needs to be cleaned, floor not cleaned (the one room still had other guests clothing underneath the curtains), on the braai area we had to clean the chairs and tables (dirty with lots of dust), washing up room not nice and tidy, shower mats dirty.</div><div><br /></div>"

  "No directions, couldn't raise the contact for directions. Had to phone owner abroad at my own cost for directions. No direction signage. Reached home to find no stove and dirty. Very bad experience to say the least. View was very nice though."

  "We spent valentines day/night here enroute to Ballito, had a nice braai on the built-in gas braaier then had a nice valentines picnic on the grass in front of the house. Rooms have a nice layout with views of the gorge with a stunning view of the sunrise. Everything needed is available on the peaceful atmosphere is excellent"

  "Great position and great value. Lovely views and very nice staff living on site. You feel a little isolated but its only 5 minutes from the N3 at Little Church. Electricity was a bit annoying though as we could only put on a few lights and then it went off at midnight completely until we departed. Lovely watch dog. Very windy day we were there unfortunately. Large modern house with large tv, huge kitchen and dining room. Lovely patio."

  "The house and facilities were very luxurious, it was a pity that the Geysers were not turned on the day we arrived. The next day the pump motor broke feeding the geysers, therefore, we had luke warm water to shower in. The electric oven was also not working. With these snags resolved I would definately return."

  "Our stay at the farm was very pleasant. It has all the amenities you need for staying over for a few days or even just for a stopover. The view is spectacular and of course it is just so peaceful that you cant believe the highway is just a few kilometers away. We found Kas the owner to be very friendly, pleasant and helpful and will definitly return to Highlands Farm again in the future."

  "What a hidden gem. We stayed Highlands Farm Estate en-route from Ballito to Joburg, but this is worth more than just an overnight stop. Perfect place for a celebration weekend. The house feels almost brand new and is equipped with highest quality furnishings. The view from the house over Van Reenen's is spectacular. Would definitely visit again!"

  "An amazing place - a large, beautifully equipped house in the middle of nowhere with 360-degree panoramic views. The master bedroom with queen bed is very spacious and comfortable but some of the twin bedded rooms were a bit more cramped, all have en-suite bathrooms. Living area has huge dining table, full kitchen, sofas, large fireplace and huge TV with all satellite channels but we spent most time admiring the views from the patios. Unfortunately road noise from the N3 does carry a bit. Wheelchair access to the house is good with only a step at the front door. The house is a few miles from the Little Church exit from the N3 along some quite rough roads/dirt tracks. The restaurant near the Van Reenan petrol station is quite good if you don't want to cook, Caz the local farmer (who built the property) came in to cook us an excellent breakfast."
