  "Ina runs a guesthouse which definitely is worth a stopover. The accommodation was exactly what we were looking for:1. Good area2. Excellent security3. Clean, crisp linen4. Comfortable beds5. Bathroom with shower as well as lovely slipper bath ( the victorian bath was a bonus!)6. Small bar fridge7. Aircon that really works8. Friendly and hospitable hostess.Little touches that we would have appreciated, are additional towels (one medium towel each left us looking for a smaller one too...)It would be nice to have a bath mat of the towelling variety on the floor. These just always look clean and crisp and inviting to wet feet...Maybe a small milk jug with fresh milk in the fridgeBut those would have been nice-to-have's and not necessary. It will definitely not deter us from recommending this guesthouse and/or using it again ourselves."

  "The Vaal River guest house was a disappointing experience for me. The DSTV did not work so we couldn't watch tv at all. The air conditioner did not work at all. There weren't enough pillows on the bed for me. They provide a bar fridge in the room that is quite noisy considering the total silence in the room because there is no tv, this was quite irritating.<div>When you arrive you are met by Ina, who did not introduce herself. I had to ask who she was. There is no tour of the place or brochure of the facilities. We would have liked to see the pool area in case we wanted to swim. There's no number provided to complain to so we had to just stick it out. I'm glad I had my own internet connection and iPad for entertainment. I would not recommend this place to anyone.</div><div><strong><br /></strong></div><div><em><strong>Establishment Response:</strong></em></div><div><em><br /></em></div><div><div><em>The guest was unhappy and said there was no number provided where he can reach us, when guests book on your website and they paid their deposit, you provide them with our telephone nr.</em></div><div><em></em></div><div><em>They could have called us to lay all their complaints, in stead they kept quiet. We could have helped them with everything, if you look at our reviews this dont happen a lot. Everybody just tell us the whole time how beautiful it is here and how they enjoyed it here.</em></div><div><em></em></div><div><em>We could have fixed the dstv by just reset the decoder if they just have called us.</em></div><div><em>The aircon was just off at the switch above the table.</em></div><div><em>There WAS extra pillows in the room in a trolley.</em></div><div><em>Its a small guest house, what are they talking about a tour! There was at that stage people swimming in the pool, they are welcome to swim. It wasnt necessary to give that guests a tour, the pool is in the garden for everybody to see.</em></div></div>"
