  "The view and location are superb. The management and staff were very helpful and kinds and friendly. The cottage could use some TLC as some of the finishes are very basic (e.g. beds are not so comfy). With a little TLC this place could be 5 star and charge double. Would gladly pay."

  "This was the most amazing stop over. Everything had been set up for us even though we arrived late at the chalets. It was clean and the area is beautiful. Was also great that the owners allowed us to keep our dog there. Huge lawns for everyone to relax and enjoy. Would recommend it to anyone needing a place to stay on route out of/into Namibia through Vioolsdrift."

  "All was absolutely great, but what a pity about the shower, the showerhead was torn, calcified and so close to the wall that your bum would accidently push back the handle.Hope this small problem gets seen too. We would still come again ."

  "This place is truly amazing overlooking the orange river. It's so peaceful and quiet - this was the ending of our trip. We heard the fish eagle the next morning - TRANQUIL is the word for sure!<br/><br/>The chalet was very clean, there were extras like milk, firewood, enough soap and cream,<br/><br/>The owners really goes the extra mile to make this place amazing. <br/><br/>We will definitely visit Geelkrans again - it comes highly recommended!"

  "We really struggled to find the place as there is NO SIGN, my phone was not on roaming and the owner did not answer our calls at first. After searching about 30min we phoned again and she answered. We got directions and arrived.<br/><br/>The place is absolutely beautiful, the view is amazing and it's so peaceful. <br/><br/>There was just 100s of wasps, the hot water smelled like sewage and we did not want to shower :( <br/><br/>It was very clean, there were soap, milk etc. The room just did not have any plugs to dry hair even though there was a mirror.<br/><br/>All in all, I think with just a couple of changes this can be a 5* place to stay.<br/><br/>"

  "A magnificent setting under huge cliffs overlooking the lush Orange River. The chalet we stayef in was very neat and clean, and equipped very well. The fireplace was clean and braaiwood and Blitz were provided. The only slight negative was the pigpen right next to the braai area, but families with children might enjoy that extra rustic touch. The other cottage has a fantastic view over the river."

Geelkrans is the most stunning place to recharge and relax.<div><br /></div><div>You drive trough the most barren landscape and then you come roun the corner to find this oasis.</div><div><br /><div>The chalets are well equipped and beautiful,</div><div><br /></div><div>You are woken in the morning by fish Eagles hunting and at knight we took our blanket and lay on the manicured lawn and watched the stars and the satellites wizzing pass.   "We stayed at Geelkrans for 2 nights, we got much more than we expected. Air-conditioning in the rooms, coffee, tea, sugar and even milk in the fridge. The chalets have everything you need and the scenery is amazing.We will definitely make this our regular stopover place when we pass through the area."

  "Our stay was very quick for one night, but very relaxed and enjoyable. The chalet is very clean and neat, and has all the necessities inside. We even received firewood!! Just one not so nice part, was that the water tank went empty after two showers! Completely! However, skipping the water part, it was very enjoyable."
