Dunghye Beach Cottage

Dunghye Beach Cottage is a lovely, newly renovated cottage located 100 m from Voelklip Beach. The cottage is ideally positioned close to the cliff paths and within a two-minute walk from a little caf. Dunghye Beach Cottage was one of the first houses built in Hermanus, in 1928.

The cottage sleeps up to four guests and comprises two bedrooms, a kitchen, and an open-plan dining room and lounge area. The first bedroom contains a double bed and an en-suite with a bath, and the second bedroom contains twin single beds and an en-suite shower.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a stove and oven and microwave. The open-plan kitchen and lounge area include a TV with DStv and leads onto a spacious garden with braai facilities.

"What an amazing way to spend our annual holiday! Neat, tidy little cottage with enough space for a family of 4. Hearing the waves crashing from the beach which is literally 80 meters away was fabulous. The owners are friendly, helpful and and just lovely people in general! The cottage is far enough away from town to give you that real "beach holiday feeling", and close enough that shopping isn't a pain.<br/>We enjoyed every moment of our 2 weeks at Dunghye Beach Cottage. We will be back :)"

"Awesome cottage! We are a family with 2 small children, the cottage was perfect for us, 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms meant space for all. The cottage is tastefully and functionally furnished, but without any delicate items that would have caused anxiety with small kids around. It is 1 road from the beach, literally in line with the enterance to the beach, which makes it easy to walk with small kids. It was also furnished for the beach with beach umbrellas, mats & chairs to sit on. The outside shower, was also great for washing off the sand. The host is a lovely lady, who met us with the keys. A truly lovely place."
