"We enjoyed our Cape Town vacation and Eagle's Nest Guest House was a nice place to stay! The only problem was that the area was very windy."

"From the moment we were met at the airport Axel and Judhai made us feel very welcome and important to them. The wonderful Tina in the hotel is a treasure and provided a superb laundry service. We found the Fish Eagle Suite with its quite and calm perfect for us - and the views day and night were spectacular."

"Very nice guesthouse that is run by two competent owners, Axel and Judy. Also not to forget, Tina who cooks a mean breakfast and is very knowledgeable about the political struggles in Cape Town. The guesthouse sits high up on the mountain base and offers spectacular views of Table Mountain and the Cape. The winds can be pretty strong in Jan but the beauty compensates for this. Cheers, Greg"

"The Eagle's Nest guest house was well equipped, very clean and very efficiently run. The additional services such as car hire, collection from 7 to the airport and excellent local knowledge made the best use of our short stay in The Cape. We'll definitely be going back there. A very friendly & happy stay. Thank you"

"Our Last stop in South Africa but by no means least. We were welcomed by Tina on our arrival and she was always ready to call us a local taxi to deliver us to our destinations be it the V&A waterfront or Table mountain. Situated on the upper edge of the city bowl it gives impressive views of the Lion s head and the city. Axel also willing to give advice on routes up the mountain if walking is your thing. very good comfortable base in Cape Town.ThanksStuart Edwards, Ken Spence, Trevor Brown , Brian Blakely"

  • "Home from home"

    08 November 2005

"Our stay at Eagle's Nest was wonderful, from the warm welcome we received from Axel ( the owner ) when we arrived very late at night to the moment we left, after a week's stay. Our bedroom, which was very spacious, had views over the city bowl and out to Robben Eiland. We both slept well every night in the very comfortable beds, and there was no noise from inside or outside the house. Breakfast, in their dining room with the spectacular views of the city, Lion's Head and of course Table Mountain was exactly what was needed to set us up for a long day of sightseeing.Axel was always available during breakfast and for a time afterwards to answer our questions and to give us general, and specific advice. He was a most helpful and friendly host and we would recommend Eagle's Nest to anyone visiting Cape Town."
