• "Convienent stop over"

    25 August 2019

"Was a pleasant stay, staff polite and friendly but not what you would class as self-catering, there was a fridge, microwave, kettle, and 3 mugs, that's it, no crockery, utensils, anything. The bedroom itself was comfortable and clean so really just a place to sleep over, nothing special, nothing bad either"

  • "Having a place to sleep for cheap"

    18 February 2018

"My room had no towels or toilet paper, or cups and sugar and coffee, and the other rooms did but I think it was just their mistake, also really need fans or aircons for when its really hot"

  • "Delightful"

    05 September 2016

"We were a group of 3 couples travelling together. We had a lovely, comfortable stay. The gardens are cool and refreshing, the rooms are comfortable. A delicious breakfast was served.
2 small things niggled! If you have noisy neighbours, the reed ceilings don't block out the sound. One of our party had a neighbour whose TV was on throughout the night, creating a disturbance for them. The second is that I was under the impression that we could have dinner there but was not informed beforehand that it was only if you have booked beforehand. So we had to travel into Vryburg for supper, which is only 7 km away. Not a great issue but after a long day's travel it can just aggravate!
Otherwise a very comfortable stay."

  • "Lekker oorslaapplek."

    01 September 2015

"Hierdie is die ideale oorslaapplek tussen Augrabies Park en Pretoria. Die kamer was netjies en gerieflik en die aandete goed voorberie teen 'n baie billike prys. Ongelukkig raas die verkeer tot redelik laat in die nag. Ek sal weer daar oorslaap."

  • "Only for a stop over."

    09 June 2014

"Kameeldoring Lodge. Interesting place with a Camel thorn tree growing through the roof. Our first stop over was not much but OK for a night. Poor food. Our second stop over was in desperation as we were late and to be fair we did not book beforehand. The family room my wife and stayed in was shocking and if I was a building inspector I would condemn it and the food was poor. Not worth the money."

  • "No star"

    18 April 2014

"The caravan site was very nice but it is too close to the road so we never slept with all the traffic going passed. We booked for supper at the restaurant for 7 pm and were only seated at 7.45 after much moaning and had to eat off a" floor mat" on the table. The only red wine they had should only be sold in a shabeen. The stew was mainly bone and jelly like pieces real cheap cut. Will not be returning very disappointing."

  • "Lovely stay"

    03 February 2014

"We spent our last night in SA in Kamelboom Lodge and we really loved it! Room and garden were beautiful. Room was very clean. Lots of Butterflies in garden and there was feeders for them. Shabby chic decorations all over were fun and beautiful. Two dogs, cat and emu were lovely to us. :-) Even we were the only guest at that night, we got delicious dinner in candle light and good breakfast next morning. Really nice staff! We slept quite well, even the place is near to a N14 and you can here trucks etc. Definitely we`ll be back!"

  • "Dirty"

    31 December 2013

"When we checked in, we were told that they had a big storm and somebody will come and clean the room. Never happened. Linen and bathroom also dirty."

  • "Loved the stay"

  • "Beautiful place, bad admin"

    28 June 2013

"Great and beautiful place and rooms, safe and secure - but very bad admin?I asked for a self catering room, with a bath... Arrived after 17:00, was given a room with shower... No self catering or bath, no fridge, no microwave... No DSTV, just 1, 2,3 and E? No braai facility for guests? VERY BAD cell phone reception?"

  • "Unfortunately quite awful"

    20 May 2013

"This establishment needs a good spring cleaning and friendlier service. The quaint decor does not compensate for the lack of hospitality. No wifi, no slickness."
