Far Niente Beachfront Guesthouse is an historical landmark on Wilderness Beach, offering the ultimate beach holiday experience. Its the ideal one-stop, self-catering, sand sauntering, sunshine sizzling, salty swimming, sundowner sipping, sea-sound slumbering, beach holiday.

With its stunning view over the sea, and only a few steps down to the sea-washed sands of the beach, it is the ideal holiday spot for people of all ages. The charming house, which reflects the history and loving care of five generations, will make you feel totally at home the minute you enter its doors. Taletha, who lives on the property in a separate apartment, is there to welcome you and ensure that your stay is comfortable, relaxed and carefree.

Far Niente generally sleeps a maximum of eight guests, but theres always room for that extra one. It has three double bedrooms, two with en-suite bathrooms, and a TV room which can also be used as a bedroom with twin bunks. In addition there is a separate full bathroom and a guest toilet. The house is fully furnished, even the beach towels are provided. Children of all ages are welcome.

It features a relaxed open-space central living area with a large, fully equipped kitchen. This living room opens through a large glass sliding door onto a sea-facing patio and terrace. A few steps lead down from the terrace to the beach. The sea views, especially at sunrise and sunset are magnificent, and can be enjoyed even from behind the kitchen counter. General facilities include a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble-dryer, ironing equipment, and basic satellite TV, as well as a baby's camp cot, bath and high chair.

The house is available as an exclusive unit, ideal for a family or group. Alternatively, it is also available as two separate units, each with its own entrance and access to the terrace. Parking is provided on the premises in the shade of four ancient Milkwood trees. Far Niente has been awarded a 3 Star Exclusive Grading from the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa.

"Everytime I walked on Wilderness Beach and look at Far Niente it was my dream to stay there! We had two nights there in August and being right on the beach was heaven but it was cold! Fran had thought of everything - even winter sheets and heater and underfloor heating so we were very happy. We needed nothing and the view was stunning and being right on the beach was amazing. Fran was so helpful - we hope to go back soon!"

"This was our first time at Far Niente, but it is safe to say that it won't be our last. You can not ask for a better located place, all you see from your unit is the ocean and all you hear is the sound of the sea a few meters away. Abby and Glenda are fantastic hosts and really treated us well. If you are wondering if you should visit Far Niente, my vote is yes!!"
