BergVenture at Fernwood Lodge

BergVenture is situated in the Champagne Valley, at the foothills of the majestic Cathkin Peak. Our site, is of conservation significance and we are on a 200 ha game farm and boarders the well-known Ukuhlamba Drakensberg Reserve, World heritage site. On our property you will find various hiking trails, adventure activities and San Rock art.

BergVenture is hostel style, dorm accommodation that can accommodate groups of 100 guests. In the nine different rooms, bunk beds and communal bathrooms, adds fun and adventure to your stay, spending time outside and enjoying nature. A fully equipped kitchen is open for your use and cleaning services are included.
Our dedicated team will tailor any program to your groups personal needs. This venue is perfect for group getaways, youth and/or school camps and weddings.
