Die Eike Farm Accommodation

Die Eike is a lovely Cape Dutch Homestead, originally built in the early 1800's. Surrounded by vineyards and orchards with views of majestic mountains, the guesthouse offers warm hospitality in tranquil setting. A horse riding school nearby offers vineyard and wine tasting trails on well-trained horses. Die Eike also has a small conference and function facility 20, which includes a private covered braai-patio.

Accommodation comprises eight en-suite double bedrooms of which two have an extra bedroom with twin beds-ideal for the family. All rooms have DStv, tea and coffee facilities. Barbecue facilities available. Enjoy our cellar's excellent sweet wine during winter in front of a log fire and crisp dry white wine in summer on the patio or just relax beside the swimming pool.

"My only concern was the feather duvet as I am allergic to feathers. Otherwise, it is run by very friendly and professional people. The accommodation is very clean and hygienic, and reasonably priced. Definitely to be recommended. Thanks!"

"We loved our stay at this accommodation. We were welcomed warmly; the hosts were very friendly and helpful with regards to things to do in the area and places to eat. Our breakfast at 'Dam Fine Cafe' was delicious. This is a family orientated 'home away from home'. Our room was very clean and spacious and provided everything we required. We will stay here again given the opportunity."

  • "Wedding Party Retreat"

    19 April 2010

"My Parents and I really enjoyed the stay at "Die Eike".The warm greeting and lovely little touches like the fragrance when you arrive, roses and ribbons around the towels made it all so special for what could be a stressful time just before the wedding. Then when the wedding was over it was like coming home. A wonderful sleep-in and then a fantastic breakfast followed by a walk around the gardens looking at the animals. We so enjoyed the friendliness for the staff and management. We felt really blessed by the Lord being there.Even the rose placed on the windscreen the next morning was the finishing touch. "Die Eike" is definitely worth another visit."

  • "Delightful place"

    08 June 2009

"My husband, myself and two friends stayed at Die Eike this past weekend;we were in the area for the Wacky Wine Festival - our first visit. We drove through pouring rain to Worcester - not an auspicious start to the weekend. However, on arrival at Die Eike we were greeted by Nolene and shown our rooms. The rooms and bathrooms were well appointed and comfortable with everything one could need - but the best thing at that point was that the air conditioners had been switched on the the rooms were beautifully warm!!Delightful place, warm and friendly hosts - would definitely return."

"This is our second stay at this beautiful home.It is magnificent in both history and culture. The accommodation is superb and every thought to details.Hospitality is warm and friendly and most accommodating. The farm is perfectly positioned to visiting surrounding towns such as Paarl, Franschoek, Worcester, Robertson and Montague. The worst this about it is when we have to say goodbye, it has always been a highligh of our weekly visit to the Cape.Thank to Nolene and Kobus you and your farm are the best.Glen and Lorna CominsDurban"

  • "Absolutely beautiful"

    07 April 2009

"This accommodation was absolutely beautiful Spotlessly clean, spacious and well presented. We enjoyed it so much that we were supposed to stay in Simon's Town, but drove from there to Die Eike for an additional two days. The host was charming, friendly and very helpful (Hansen) also Nolene (owner) was also as accommodating. Although the accommodation is situated on a vineyard there is a 'Dam Fine Cafe' next door and a short drive to Worcester and Rawsonville. We would recommendthis accommodation to anyone.Dave & Kate Price"

This was a very pleasant place to spend a weekend in Spring."

"To the Botha Family,Thank you for making my mother-in-law's 60th birthday weekend away a memorable and relaxing one.She has insisted that all the children visit the farm for a weekend. From their arrival to departure we received regular calls/updates on how beautiful the farm was, their lovely meals under the oak tree and the stunning linen in the bedroom(women thing). Thank you for your hospitality and for making our parents feel like they had a home away from home. "

"Sorry that i did not get a chance to thank you for your hospitality to my wife and I. I dont think that there is anywhere else in the world where I would rather spend my time than your place. That place was where God really wanted us to be as my wife and I got to spend a lot of time together, and to top it all, our car broke down so we had to come to you by public transport and that helped not to leave your place.I would recomend anyone in the world to stay at Die Eike Farm. Please say hi to Malishta for me, she really took good care of us.Thank you Nolene! I will give you a call sometimeGod Bless"

The hosts took very good care of us and we were sorry that we had to leave after only one day. If you don't want to travel where all the tourists go but want to see how the vineyards are being taken care of, if you enjoy horsebackriding and nature this is the place to go."
