"I stayed there for one night. On arrival we asked about security, a standard question in South Africa. And were told by Bernice that it is absolutely safe, pointing out the 8 foot fence with electric fencing and barbed wire.Our car was broken into and I lost all of my documents, my laptop and my fianc's travel bag.We discovered this in the morning, and the owner, Dianne was less than helpful, aggressive and unprofessional. She stated that nobody could have broken in at Zonnewelde, but she cannot account for the guests actions. She then said that she had to get on with her day, and left the premises. No apology, no attempt at providing assistance.I cannot hold her liable for the theft, but her bad attitude reflects in the fact that the only other review of her guest house is from 2012.My brother also stayed that night and was relieved of two bicycles.
