  "My mother and I, along with our two dogs, stayed for one night at this delightful guesthouse. We arrived after 10pm yet we were greeted by the friendliest guesthouse owners Adine and Serena. They made us feel at home even though it was late. Will definitely revisit this fine establishment again."

  "We were made to feel so welcome. The hosts even had toys for my two children to play with, as well as a small but well looked after garden and playground. The room was neat, clean and well furnished. Breakfast was tasty and filling. Very well priced. We will definitely recommend Spes Bona to friends and family travelling to Cape Town!"

  "We enjoyed our night at Spes Bona, so much so, that we booked again on our way home a week later. The owner, Corrie is very friendly and makes sure you enjoy the stay. Everything is clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The joint lounge / kitchen was a surprise, but it didn't bother us at all. I would recommend this to anyone staying over in Colesburg."

  "We used Spes Bona in Colesberg as an overnight stop on our way to a big event, and on the way back. Corrie, the manager, was amazing. She went out of her way to make us comfortable, even put our beers in the fridge so they'd be cold on our return several days later! For the price you pay, you get comfy beds, a hot shower and such warm, friendly hospitality! Plus you're over the road from an OK, a bottle store and an ATM - and a few blocks from restaurants and a lovely little koppie worth walking up for great sunsets! I will go back to Spes Bona, every single time!"

  "my son & I spent one night at Spes Bona guest house.It is the third time that I have overnighted there. For the price one pays it is really very good value for money! The rooms are clean & the reception has always been friendly & efficient. My only negative comment is that the bathroom for the room we stayed in appears a little tired & needs to be upgraded with new tiling etc . Otherwise this is a very reasonably priced, clean stop on the N1 Highway."

  "We had a long drive with a 6 month old and couldn't wait to get out the car and relax. I specifically asked for 3 things when I made the booking: a place to wash bottles, a microwave to sterilize the bottles and a bath. When we arrived there where none of these things even though I double checked before I made the booking. Besides all that, the double bed was so bad that my husband and I had to sleep on the 2 single beds in the room."

  "My experience at Spes Bona guesthouse was good. On the add and email it said DSTV but there was only 5 channels to watch, I chose Spes Bona due to the price and DSTV. But the rest was all good, I would've like it if I was asked if I would like to have breakfast and at what time breakfast will be served and the menu. I love the electric blankets that was heaven. And the place was neat and clean."

  "I did not stay there personally but booked my son and his two friends in on route from Johannesburg to UCT. They were pleased at their reception and reported that the room was very 'nice'. They did say they struggled to sleep because it was very hot. They left at about 03h00 for Capetown. I will definitely book them in there again if needed."

Spae Bona and Colesberg gave us all that. An easy distance from the market place and heritage churches, it was pleasurable and relaxing to walk on the streets of colesberg. And yes, the people of the town were as friendly as out hosts at Spes Bona!"
