  "We have 5 dogs and a cat and they were all accommodated for at Toverberg Guest house. On top of that everything was beautifully decorated and so clean and welcoming. We had everything we needed and were spoiled with extras such as electric blankets and filter coffee. Should we ever travel through Colesberg again we will most definitely be staying here!"

Toverberg is comfy and cosy, just what one needs to recharge ones batteries on a long trip. It's also central so we took a stroll around town, had supper and walked back to the guest house. And we loved the choice of three coffees."

A Hotel-like house with 4 beds to a room, with enormous kitchen where everything the traveller could possibly want was supplied. A lounge with TV, a dining room with board games, a patio with braai. The beds were clean and comfortable and everything just WORKED. But best of all was the price. Everyone can afford to stay here. In fact, you cannot afford NOT to stay here! We'll never even look at another place when we pass through Colesberg in future."

  "In summary, I cannot fault and recommend enough the guesthouse and owners with regards to friendliness, cleanliness, 3* facilities and the value for money, I will be staying again and will be recommending it my family and friends.I left Johannesburg 15h00 in the afternoon to travel to Cape Town and arranged to stay/rest in Colesberg. I was only due to arrive late in Colesberg some time between 21h00 and 22h00 and had previously made arrangements with Jurie for this. I made contact whilst travelling to inform Jurie of my progress and was greeted with the utmost concern for my safety and well being on the road. On arrival I was welcomed warmly and guided to my accommodation. The living room, bathroom and bedroom were spotless and the beds were made up with crisp white linen and a side table lamp had been switched on. The furnishings and decor were welcoming and although old were quaint and relaxing. The facilities were excellent and included towels, fridge, television,dstv, a library of books, a piano, kettle and tea and coffee + milk + rusks, tourist guides etc. I hadn't eaten dinner and Jurie guided me to a restaurant just across from the guesthouse, which I walked to and had some the tastiest lamb (Karoo) chops of my life with a French salad."

Soon after we arrived there was a prolonged and heavy rain storm and the electricity went off for five hours. The owner went out of his way to ensure that we had candles etc, and found for us the only restaurant in the town that was serving dinner. It was not only comfortable and welcoming, but memorable. "

  "Stay was very pleasant, accomodation very comfortable, service good and English breakfast served in the guesthouse was delivered on time,and tasted very good. Portions were not overly generous or skimpy in any way. Accommodation in guesthouse is very comfortable, only criticism is the showers which are set very deep into the floor with a high threshold aswell, was very difficult to get in and out of by anyone with any disability."
