"Friendly staff, making our stay pleasant and comfortable.Jodi was very efficient making sure we were well taken care of. The room was clean and the bedlinen was the best. Will definitely recommend."
"The room is very Old fashioned, needs some major upgrading. Bathroom was icy cold, with old fittings.Old cupboards, and furniture. We had two very narrow single beds in our room. But then it is called ''old Halliwall" Breakfast, was warm, well served and delicious."
"Get parents to control their children. We had a child riding a plastic toy on the passage outside our room at 5-30 in the morning"
"Wonderful accommodation!! Felt like home away from home! Such welcoming staff!"
"Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Such "old world" charm. Hospitality was fantastic. A home away from home."
"Very quiet, comfortable and beautiful setting. Friendly staff and great food."
"Old building quaint, grounds stunning, staff friendly......our room "tired", needs fireplace like we saw most other rooms offer! Don't go for a dinner if you're rushed, here you need to "chill", relax and enjoy company at your table!"
"We spent one evening at Old Halliwell for a wedding in the area. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious but a bit tired in its furnishings: the white sueded couches and carpets peppered with burn marks and coal smudges from the fireplace and the bathroom in need of some re-modelling. Breakfast also left much to be desired: with a very limited cold buffet (curdled-looking yoghurt and some muesli) and a very greasy fry-up. One doesn't have to have a huge selection of food but some fresh fruit and some pastries would go down well. The room served its purpose of a comfortable bed and the convenience of close proximity to the wedding but I don't see us going returning. It is such a pity as the locations, the layout of the rooms and beautiful premises hold great potential."
"The views, the service and the atmosphere of this Inn was so comforting. Wish we'd stayed longer!"
"The accomodation was comfortable, however the room was very tired and old looking. Breakfast was also very average. No pastries or extras."
