Oude Landgoed Lodge and Spa

Oude Landgoed is a large guest house located just outside of Rustenburg. The property offers luxurious accommodation in spacious rooms ideal for backpackers, business travellers and couples or small families.

Guests can choose to stay in one of three room types. The Executive Rooms are spacious, the Standard Rooms offer all the comforts at a lower rate and there are Backpacker chalets. Most rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, TVs and en-suite bathrooms. The Backpacker chalets share four ablution facilities.

The guest house has two swimming pools and an outdoor Jacuzzi. The spa offers a steam room, sauna, and beauty treatments on request. The on-site restaurant offers the perfect place to enjoy lunch and dinner, and there is also a licensed bar as well as braai (barbecue) facilities on site.

"Fantastic and far from city noises and main road, I was sceptical at first then realized the reason why it's so far from the road. Please arrange for your driveway from the main road to be tarred some of us don't drive off road cars, my car has a lowered suspension and I had to take it to the workshop for some work to be done on it. Overall we had a great time and will be coming back soon. I've been telling everyone about this place."

"We enjoyed our stay at Oude Landgoed very much! Its nice and quiet and very beautiful. I especially liked the small swimming pool, looking at the beautiful mountains and scenery. Pity we didn't have time to go swim in the big pool. Breakfast was nice and gave a homey feeling. "<p>The staff where very friendly and helpful.</p><p>I don't know who the owner is and where they got their 4 star raring from.( 2 star at best in myopinion)The place has become run down due to lack of maintenance. The shower bar was broken and the water was either extremely hot or icy cold and nothing in between. I had to share a towel with the wife when we showered as we could not find any staff late at night. We had a look the next morning but the other places close by but they where fully booked for the weekend. </p><p>The place has great potential but a lot of work is needed to get it back up to standard again,</p>"

"This is a lovely place to be, with wonderful facilities and people. Its nice and quiet and you would think its deep in the bush but it right next to Rustenburg. Lovely...!"

"advertising spa, but spa under construction(wanted to use spa), was not happy, no email from lodge to confirm us. Pool dirty, lapa dirtyReception area appalling and very dirty. Eating lounge cutlery dirty. Breakfast not up to standard (fish for breakfast? Bedroom glasses and cups stuck to tables and dirty, shower dirty. Definitely not 4 star graded, very disappointing,place has potential if manage properly. Don't make your personal problems mine!!"

"The lodge should be closed according to us, there is not a single thing my wife and I loved about it and we even decided to checkout a day prematurely to book at the Road Lodge. Perhaps it was a good place when launched but it has now become a museum, no maintenance whatsoever, and the state of the dining area made us not to eat their breakfast. Safari.com should consider taking it of their list; I cannot believe it is even rated for any star. there is not even a spa, so this is fault ad...sad face."
