  • "Escape to tranquility"

    07 January 2016

"Our stay at 17 The Reeds was just perfect for our family. Tastefully decorated although younger family members quickly removed the pile of magazines and other dcor itemsthat they felt were superfluous and hid them out of sight in the ample garage cupboards, whilst we were there. The place has a knack of growing on you. I instantly fell in love with cottagey home, and the beautiful estate it is situated in. There is enough beach to do a 10km run to Britannia Bayand back, or even within the estate on the roads.Nearest beach is literally 3-4 minutes stroll away and you can hear the sea from the cottage. Perfect getaway if you want to escape the crowds and youhave a choice of your own 3 beaches. Shops are not close by but Weskus Mall has everything you need about 25 minutes away or the local Spar which is quite friendly and about 10-15 minutes away. The idea is to escape from the noise of everyday life. Internet signal is fine, so you can still work online IF you must. Definately worth a visit, would love to go back anytime. If you must look for the usual trappings of pampering, the Bon Hotel within Shelley Point Estate is within walking distance."

"It was a fantastic week, and felt like home-from-home, simply because everything you'll need is in the house. The beach is great (2 minute walk), the surroundings are wonderfully peaceful, and the surrounding villages and towns make for interesting day trips. And of course typical West Coast hospitality!"

"Me and my family we had a special time at the Shalley Point: a peaceful place, very safe and merged with the nature. David and Anita are extremely friendly and we felt really like at home. A place to go, a place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Western Coast."
