"NOT WHAT I EXPECTED"

"We struggled to find Steffi's as the directions were not clear. Upon our arrival, I was a bit disappointed. The reception area is dark and so are the corridors. The breakfast area looked unused and had a storage facility feel. My bath was strews with dead insects. The fridge in my room did not fit, so it was kind of in the middle of the room and my kettle stood on the floor."

"The accommodation (the flat) was very good and price reasonable compared to other accommodation in Tzaneen. However the people dont answer their phones at all. We phoned 3 numbers and nobody picked up. We tried to phone to tell them we left Johannesburg later as planned and will arrive late and we wanted to find out about breakfast times etc.We got lost on our way to the lodge and because no one answers the phone we could not ask for help. We drove around 40min in Tzaneen trying to find the lodge as the gps took us to a business in town. We eventually found it and had a good night's rest only to be woken by staff the next morning to say they are waiting for us to come and eat breakfast. If they would have answered the phones the previous night we could have arranged a breakfast time..I have sent 2 emails regarding our arrival time the previous day. Luckily the staff member on duty was very friendly and calmed our agitation. Breakfast was very good.The lodge has a lot of potential but the admin side is very unprofessional. A simple thing like nit answering any of the numbers given is unacceptable."

"Firstly the owner was not expecting me. The place is stuffy and dirty. The shower head and door are broken. The owners kids are everywhere making noise even at night. I will not stay at this place again."
