  "Peggy and her team were fantastic check in to check. Restuarant menu is worth after a day of travelling. Try the Pork Ribs..... Breakfast is a must with the bottomless coffee for the traveller to start the day. The room is basic , clean airy and the views are amazing."

  "Place is clean, neat and tidy. A little bar fridge might do in units with small milk and water. Breakfast can improve especially the omelets as explained to the waitron. Otherwise friendly and accommodating staff."

  "Surely a TV should be part & parcel of every establishment in 2018. We are not living in 1975!!! I personally think that management or owners should think of having as little as 5 rooms equipped with a bar fridge & microwave oven. I am sure that there are many travellers like myself that travel from the Kwa Zulu Natal coast to distant destinations in Limpopo & North West that would prefer to have their own meals in the unit, plus a cold beer or whatever. When booking the establishment could ask enquiring guests which room option they would prefer & charge a minimal fee of say R20 or R30 for what they may call extras. I would certainly make further visits to the establishment if that was the case & I sure that their occupancy rate would increase."

  "Staff very friendly and helpful but I think the management / owners could give the establishment a bit of a facelift - the linen and decor is very very old and definitely needs to be replaced.I dont believe I needed to be charged R10 for a tiny jug of milk - thats just daylight robbery.Location very convenient and an overall pleasant but average experience. I wouldnt rush back for fun, its just a practical location if youre needing a halfway stop."

  "We had a great stay. Everything was clean, the food was exactly as expected - good and wholesome with nothing fancy. The staff in the bar and dining room were fabulous. Friendly and full of good humour. Price was right and we thoroughly enjoyed staying at the same place that we had stayed at on our first night of marriage 50 years ago to the day. Very special."

  "Poor place to stay over. Some power plugs not operational. Bath and shower not practical. You have to stand in bath tub to open water taps. Shower head to low. Bump your head on ceiling when getting up from toilet. Window frames in bathroom totally rusted. Poor maintenance. Don't order food at their restaurant sub standard quality food. Rather buy take away food in van Reenen"

  "We really enjoyed our stay at Pyramids! We stayed over on our way to our holiday home in Shelly Beach. Not only is it located in the beautiful mountains, but the chalets are so cute and unique. We had the most AMAZING service from the staff, everyone working there is super friendly and willing to help. When we checked out we had a misunderstanding about our outstanding balance we needed to pay and the receptionist had so much patience with us. I would definitely recommend this amazing place to others passing through Van Reenen area. We had a wonderful time!"

  "<p>This is our second time here. So...</p><p>The bad: It is not self cater and thus no braai-ing, cooking or refrigeration. And that is ALL that I can fault with this place.</p><p>The rest is BRILLIANT!</p><p>As far as food goes, though the restaurantmenu is not a very extensive, it is a wide enough variety to keep everyone happy. Everything is expertly prepared from crisp, fresh produce and their steaks are succulent and juicy. As is the chicken and fish. Breakfast is served continental style.</p><p>The cottages/pyramids/chalets(?) are obviously the highlight. The absolute unique design is much more spacious than it seems. Other than the shower that is a little low. We couldn't mind becausethe trianglebath won hands down. Further more, the place is spotless and the linen is fresh and new.</p><p>Why will we be back? Well, not only is the location absolutely exquisite and beautiful, showcasing the vastness of the midlands, but the service received from everyone was genuinely friendly. This, accompanied by great value for money, cleanliness and a treat in general, is why I would gladly recommend this uniquevenue.</p>"

  "We enjoyed our stay @ Pyramids Motel, the steaks were made to perfection and I will recommend it to anyone, however the check out was a bit late. Office hours indicated were from 6 - 22hrs but we had to wait until 7 o'clock before we could depart. Must admit it could have been because of the thunderstorm experienced during the night. Overall experience: can recommend the establishment."

  "The personnel are friendly, and helpful, the rooms neat and very clean, and the linen fresh.The surroundings are beautiful, and you soon get used to the sound of traffic on the N3.We did not make use of the restaurant, except for their tea and coffee (which was complimentary).Insects were a bit of a problem during the evening, but there is not a lot the Motel staff can do about that."
