"Suitably equiped and safe. Noisy right through the night because of truck stops. No shops open after 18:00. Ensure own food and drink. Receptionist unfriendly and unprofessional."

  • "Passing through."

    05 January 2018

"Whilst the establishment is clean and rooms have all the essentials, the location right next to the main road leaves a lot to be desired and getting a full nights sleep with the trucks passing all night is rather difficult."

"<p>Room was comfortable and clean. </p><p>The safe parking is a definite plus.</p><p>While the booking said arrival from 13:00, there was no-one at the reception to receive me when I arrived shortly before 17:00. I needed to phone and the lady came to assist.</p>"

  • "Nice stay"

    06 January 2014

"Not luxury, but as an overnight stop after a long day on the road it is worth it. Pub across the road makes good food, their service isn't that efficient though. Lady at front desk of Rest a While is very friendly and helpful."

  • "Great budget accomodation"

    05 January 2014

"These straightforward rooms provide the basic necessities. Clean and neat with a nice ceiling fan and secure parking facilities, and it's right across the road from Marinos!"

  • "Excellent"

  • "Pleasant"

    19 December 2013

"We spent one night at Rest-a-While after a long tiring journey and found the accommodation to be clean and pleasant, catering for everything a tired traveller needs. When one is on the road the entire day, the only thing on one's mind at the end of the day, is a clean, firm bed to sleep on, a shower with hot and cold water and towels, facilities to make a quick cup of coffee or tea, the ability to maybe catch up with the latest news on TV and a fridge. This the people at Rest-a-While were fully able to supply. Basic, clean. You don't need more."

  • "Okay"

    07 January 2013

"It was okay just very basic but clean."

  • "A wonderful stop on the way to Cape Town"

    31 December 2012

"Very affordable lodgings and well equipped. The roof fan was more than efficient in the cool afternoon. Victoria West is a fair distance from Gauteng, so you don't need to drive before dawn to reach it. Sleeping over on the way to Cape Town instead of driving through in one go was the best idea I've had this festive season. I've done it in the past and you are completely drained. So why not rather make it a road trip and visit places you've never seen before?"

  • "Simple clean accommodation"

    19 December 2011

"The reception was welcoming and friendly. The room is clean and simple, enough for overnight stay on the trip to or from Cape Town. The beds are comfortable enough. It would have been nice to have a small fridge to keep milk and drinks cool. The restaurant across the road serves good Karoo food."
