While enjoying the tranquility of the holiday cottage, be sure to visit the southern-most point of Africa, view the lighthouse, and take a peek at the museum and curio shop. The unit is only 150 m from the tidal pools, perfect for swimming, and just 6km from the long, sandy beach of Struisbaai. Other activities include surfing, hiking, whale spotting, tennis, bowling, horse riding, or rock and surf angling.

"This establishment was an utter disappointment! The accommodation was dreary and old, there was a dreadful odour hanging around, it is situated in the back yard (not garden) of someone's home - not a pleasant experience - did not even stay one night, went home. Awaiting refund of charges."

"Bietou was easy to find by just following the road in and all the way till you see the lighthouse. The photos are a true reflection of the accommodation which is tucked away behind the main home. Ria was friendly and even offered to take a pic of the fam on the front lawn with the lighthouse in the background. We came to Agulhas to see the lighthouse and we were not disappointed by the location. The accommodation is in a lovely area to do some walking and is also in close distance ofsome restaurants and little shops in main road Agulhas incl a lovely coffee & gift shop close by called Potpourri. We enjoyed our stop over inAgulhas - thank you."

"This accommodation is located in the heart of the the village of l'Agulhas, located within walking distance of restaurants, the lighthouse, and the southern point of Africa. Facilities are basic and unpretentious, but offer good value for money. The host is friendly and helpful. We would go again if heading to that area."

"We were warmly welcomed to Bietou by Paul, and found it, to be very clean, including all cutlery, crockery glassware and utensils this was a big plus point for us. It is an Unpretentious B&B with the entrance and braii area tucked nice and privately round the back. It is very adequately equipped should you want to undertake cooking for the family, and should you wish to take a break there are a number of restaurants in the area. My only criticism would be that the shower is not very powerful; however as water pressure in this area could be a concern there could be mitigating circumstances. At the asking price per night, we feel it was very good value for money."
