  "I arrived at Donkin Country House on 2 Jan approx 5 O Clock. After a long wait I was informed dat the booking was not made and did not received the booking from Safari Now. They will investigate and inform me the following day. They did came back and said that it is their mistake and will refund me. 11 Days later and the mone is not in my account.They have also reffered me to another guest house called ONS HUISIE in van der Merwe str. This was the worsed guesthouse through SA and Namibia which I have stayed in. I waiste a R1000 on this Guest House plus my deposito for Donkin Quest House"

  "I booked for one night at the Donkin Country House on our drive to Cape Town. When we arrived in Beaufort West, I went to Donkin Country House and checked. The lady at the reception completed the check-in process and then gave me directions to another property called Apperklas. I made my booking based on pictures and reviews of Donkin Country House. And I was very disappointed that without explanation, discussion or notification I was actually directed to another property. I made a booking for 3 adults and the Donkin pictures all showed rooms with full sized beds, instead, the property I was directed to was clearly for 2 adults and 2 children. The bed was a very uncomfortable pull out couch. I find the behaviour of the establishment very underhand and sneaky and I would advise any future patrons clarify what they are actually getting when they book at Donkin. Apperklas was clean, had a mini-kitchen with microwave and secure off street parking."

  "Stayed for a night as a stopover en route from Cape Town to Johannesburg. Food was excellent. We were in Flat 2 which was huge and had DSTV channels. Very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again."

  "I feel confident to recomend the "Donkin" to friends and associates. The staff were more than acommodating when we requested a change of acomodation from a family suite to the self catering flat no. 1, which was beautifully appointed, very comfortable and has the most interesting shower! The dinner at the restaurant was enjoyable."

  "Our stay was very comfortable and pleasant. The room was clean and neat and NO SMOKING which is a bonus. The breakfast was very nice the next morning. We did not sample the dinner though. The Establishment is also very easy to find and central to other amenities or places of interest."
